this is my first year growing outdoors.
I got a late start by a month waiting on the darn seeds.
so i got them in the ground mid june.
I did not want to slow them down by topping so i let them grow to about 2-1/2 feet before topping (my mistake) i should have topped earlier for bushy plants. instead i have towering slender plants very hardy and doing well most are over 7 foot maybe even 8 foot.
My garden does not get morning sun and only gets about 6 hours of direct sun so the plants streach a bit.
