Opiate Question

Ok so I broke my wrist the other day. I got some hydrocodone 10's. I took 3 hydrocodone two days ago and I got some Percocet 10's now from my Mom for my wrist. How many days do I need to wait after taking the hydrocodone so when I take the Percocet the effect is around 80% of what it would have been with baseline tolerance? Thanks

(And yes, I'm not taking the hydrocodone like I'm supposed to. Just in spurts and taking the pain.)

Everyone metabolizes differently. If you only took 3, then not very long to lose your tolerance otherwise likely 3-7 days.

It takes a few doses for your tolerance to come back.

is your wrist broken or just some sprain? how was the fracture managed? just cast and analgesia? the best painkiller for your fracture if it's an undisplaced one, is your backslab/cast. Other then that...elevation of your hand to improve venous circulation, some AINS's for 5 days( are much better and are helping the swelling to go down; but be careful to take them after eating) and some mild analgesia like paracetamol + codeine for max 7 days. and yea, any opioids...take them with a lot of water cause they'll give you constipation

Couldn't you pretend to use those pills and actually just smoke weed? Or is that ineffective in this situation? Just curious.

That's basically what I'm doing. Except the pills are mine so I don't have to hide it. My mom just gave me some of her oxycodone because I was complaining about it hurting.

Yea, what I was asking is how many days I'd have to wait after taking the 20mg of hydro to get a good effect from 30mg of oxycodone.

If you haven't been eating big fistfuls of the hydros then you shouldn't need to wait too long at all to enjoy the oxy. Especially since the oxy dose will be bigger. Me, myself, I've always gotten way more enjoyment off of anything oxy-based rather than hydro.

yeah its not gonna make much of a difference... it would be different if you took them for a few months first. infact you can even take both(not going to tell u i recommend this tho obviously as im not a dr), its been shown that some people get a very beneficial analgesic effect from a mixture of hydrocodone and oxycodone. and thats what u are trying to do right? not just get high?

The answer to your question is ZERO time. Oxycodone has a higher binding affinity than hydrocodone. i just saw that u admit abusing them so heres your answer...

Don't mess with opiates....

Yea you'll be at 100% with oxy that's what I'm taking right now for my ac seperation I get 200 oxyCODONE 30MG and they sure as duck do the job.
