Opinion of my new cfl Stealth box

im in the process of building it. i have all chambers built. waiting on fans and power adapter that i ordered. after i get the fans i need to paint inside white and install lights and fans and then im done. all fans are 80mm and move 33cfm. i have a separate chamber on top of the veg. all exhaust from the flower and veg goes here. 2 80mm fans for each room. with 1 80mm fan blowing the exhaust from both rooms out the back. an area that can be used for drying and odor control. i also have purchased my veg lights which are 4 42watt (200watt equivalent) 6500k daylight cfls. I also have one 2700k 42watt cfl for the veg room. each cfl throwing 2800 lumens. a total of 14000 lumens for the veg room. i plan on having 6 42 watt 2700k and 2 42 watt 6500k for flowering totaling 22400 lumens for flowering room. is this sufficient for the size? good setup?

I see alotta potential here tha light should be enough for 1 plant or 2 small ones also some serious lstn &| topping techniques will be needed with that amount of space u got there to keep tha plant short

my box is done, well atleast the veg side. im starting some plants. any topping techniques?

Great place for that grow man! Been looking for a stealthy place to grow myself. Thinking of inside the stand for my aquarium, now what to do with the aquarium equipment!

Wow, it's like a miniature legitimate grow room. I am curious to see the flowering room lighting. I'm definitely subscribing to your grow thread, I wanna see this thing in action.

ya i will be buying the lighting for the flowering room in a couple weeks. i started some plants today also. i dont know if i should buy a bunch of 42 watt 2700k bulbs for the flowering or just go with like 5 or 6 of those and some 23 watts to reduce the heat.

White works but in my opinion u should get some reflective materials to line the box with i usually use aluminum foil and it definitely helps

Stealth, not anymore. Haha, everytime i see these i think of some kid who is gonna learn a lesson in ecology. First off peeps ussually are using mexican strains so the plant is already genetically huge. Then they have the plant in vegitative growth which is really just slow suffocation. Then when the plant starts growing in the flowering stage and out grows, or dies in its cage. I would imagine it would be better just to have 20 gorilla grows. Do some recon here and there but all in a;l let nature take care of it. The plant naturally wards off insects and if it were legal to line gardens and farms with it we could probly avoid alot of pesticides, but i am preaching to the quier so fuck it. Good luck with your potential fire hazzard, just kidding this one accually looks safe. And i may have misread but i hope you order seeds.

Ok, now you gotta hollow out the tv so it can flower. Then its will work. Even supercroppin or bonzai meathod is imposible with some stains. I tried it once and i had a corkscrew 5 foot herme from a mid seed. Of course this was quite a while and the mids are probly more indica then when i was smoking them.

You probably don't need me to say this but CFLs get HOT in confined areas. It would be amazing if you could get away with 5 or 6 42Watt CFLs in there.. that would be in the zone of 15,000 lumens right? You can grow some fatty bud with 15000 lumens concentrated on a small area if your ventilation is dialed in.

well in the veg room right now there are 4 42 watt lights and a 32 watt light and temps are at 75. the flower side is like 4 inches wider and taller than the veg room. so i dont think i will have any problems with the high wattage cfls. i hope to have more than 15,000 lumens in my flower room. haha. that would be nice. maybe its possible, we will see. and whoever mentioned using tin foil, that is very very bad. it creates hot spots on your plants and can burn them. and ihave no idea what that one dude was saying, maybe hes in the wrong forum. haha.

and to the guy treating us as we are all complete idiots. i grow mostly indica dominat plants not sativa therefore they are naturally shorter and more compact. i have seen people grow with smaller.

I really like your idea of a stealth grow box, been considering doing something along those line. Few questions if you don't mind because i'm really new to it. What are the exact dimensions on ur cab? What was the cost of all materials? How many plants are you growing and how much do u think will yield?? Thanks GL w/the grow!

well here is a picture with the rough dimensions of my box. i ordered 10 cpu fans that move 33 cubic feet of air per minute off newegg along with a 12v 2amp adapter for 35 bucks total. the cpu fans use .2 amps each therefore my adapter can run all 10 fans. i am running 7 fans off it currently and they are all at full speed still. my box was just an old entertainment center i had laying around. it cost about 25 bucks for the wood i needed to create the chambers. i have about 20 bucks into nice power strips. my lights for my veg room are all 42 watt. 2800 lumen each. i spent about 50 bucks on light for my veg room. currently i have 3 6500k and 1 2700k running and my temps are around 75-80 with 50 percent humidity. i hope to buy 5 to 6 42 watt 2700k and 2 6500k for my flower box since its considerably bigger and has good ventilation as well.
