Well for one some of the amazon lights that are on sale arent bad. Newer viparspectra and maxisun off the top of my head. My thing with diy is that no one ever had a straight answer on what exactly you need and the kits are still pretty expensive. I'm look at the 200 dollar range for a general 2x3, nothing fancy. Stretching an additional 100 dollars for a hlg or timber isnt acceptable.can u pls name a few... just to get the idea... what you need or aim for... but plug'n'play is more expensive esp. if u search for genuine HQ hardware
From what I can tell they are a lot better, not to mention they got them on the low price with a coupon and what not.Yikes, that thing is garbage, the efficacy is far worse than HPS, only .77! I hope the QB2000's are better. A lux meter will give you a reasonable idea.
I'm definitely accepting this with open arms, so the guy in the video can suck one.Yikes, that thing is garbage, the efficacy is far worse than HPS, only .77! I hope the QB2000's are better. A lux meter will give you a reasonable idea.
It looks like in the video he's comparing the 4-unit model (SW4000), while you are getting the 3-unit model. The manufacture says it's around 100w per square, so 411watts seems accurate. Hey, a free light is a free light, but realize that you are getting a lot less photons out of that for your cost of energy vs other lights.I'm definitely accepting this with open arms, so the guy in the video can suck one.
Also him supposedly pulling 411 watts at the wall is nearly 40% higher than what it should have. I'll update the wattage once it gets here Wednesday
Okay that makes sense. My thoughts exactly. I haven't even planted my first seed yet, so I feel I don't have room to be bougie just appreciative to what's available to me.It looks like in the video he's comparing the 4-unit model (SW4000), while you are getting the 3-unit model. I think there was a slight misunderstanding. I'm only growing 2 with a ts1000 and I'm using about 8 SILs, 4 each side as supplemental lighting. I dont expect really any particular amount, I'm just trying to dial in getting my green thumb as of right now.Makes ya wonder seeing 4 plant ts1000 1lb grows... what's really going on ?
