Opinion on Yielder Max by CabinetGrow

As luck would have it, a friend of mine is moving and needs to sell some of his equipment. Thankfully, I get the friend discount. But before I buy from him, I was wondering if anyone had an opinion, positive, or negative, on this grow cabinet: http://www.cabinetgrow.com/yielder-max-hydro-cfl/

the amount it is going to make is not going to be that much in the end

u would have better results and lower heat with a LED light ........as for the rest of it u could do the same thing with a tent system for less unless u are looking for something like that on wheels

the final part is hydro is a unforgivening bitch yes makes the most of some top grade stuff but it requires alot more equipment ......what they are listing it sells with is not the whole kit ....i am honestly about buying what u need .....but this they are offering u they are making alot of money on u......... the gear alone cost at most 600

I was mistaken before, this is the one my friend is selling to me. He's asking $1,400, but I'm confident I can get him to go down. He's moving this week and has to sell. But friend or no friend, if you still feel that this is a rip off, that's what matters to me. I'm a newb and don't want to be spending needlessly even before I have a first harvest.

what i would be worried about
the over all size .......to me that is 1 plant and it is a small one (rem the soil/hydro takes up 12/14 inches and u need a few inches between the light and the plant (led less important) .....so u only have a bout 2 feet of grow room ....some strains i do grow much bigger then 2 feet so u will need to learn SCRoG skills quick

the LED light the brand is not well known and from the parts i do know sounds like the LED might be over driven (resulting in shorter life and not as good plants) ......15 band spectrum is normally 12 ....i can not seem to find any par ratings on the light or reviews listed by grower sites

the fan .......the ducting so short with a muffler so close is going to cause strain on the fans motor

but it looks like it comes with help line .......they know what it is ment for so they have ppl u can contact that has used that system and knows how to fix most of the troubles that pop up ......i think that is what the money is really being asked for

are u getting it from a retailer/site or a buddy ........does this help transfer over to u as owner of the cabinet

u could build a system for less and get a higher output on what u grow.........but this offers the help line most of a complete kit (they are missing a PH tester with calibrations solutions ....they only off the droplet test and u can not get a good reading with those so u need a ph pen/probe) ....plus it locks

Prior to seeing this I was considering a basic 2' x 4' x 5' tent. I guess the only real perk is the lock and the "stealth" factor. But I'm not made of money.

1 how many hours on the lights
2 how many hours on the fans (any been replaced /cleaned/ or fresh carbon added)

what supplies are u getting .......feed amounts and phing up/down amounts

but that tent i linked u is very good i own 3 tens by these ppl (2nd best makers on the market 1st is gorilla tents)

after the 2nd grow u can go with something better getting your grow up near pro

2 300 w will do u great ......2 plants or 4 plants .......when u want to move to bigger and better lights that will be up to u some will say build your own me personally i just ordered a light for 1600 with 90 day refund (if it does bad for me i can return but the reviews and par testing shows it to be better then current LEDs 2 years old)

do not feel bad that is how they get the new growers .......u can part out the whole thing for less just matter of looking at the right shops

if u want to get some easy grows under your belt ..........get yourself some auto flowering seeds or strains .......they remove the light factor out of growing allowing u to work on feed skills .....your always going to get something out of the plant in the end ....when u feel good go for photos (just rem photos take longer then autos so stock up before u do that grow so do not run out and get tempted to cut early)

Your friend isn't going to get anywhere near $1400 IMO. That's not something that's going to be easy to sell IMO. I think 600-800 maybe.

Well, he may be a friend, but I ain't buying it now. Going with a Grow Tent that will actually give me vertical room to work with. Need to grow some trees!

Mate on amazon.co.uk GBP you can get a tent about that size 80cm x80cm x 180cm a DWC single pot system 4 once big ScrOG plant, 300w cfl or 200w LED and fankit for about £200! ($300). For £1000 you could kit out a whole 4m x 4m grow room with all the trimmings!

also if u want a bit of stealth, the smaller tents look like those flat pack wardrobes. I hung 2 shirts on the outside just in case my landlord came in one day and the police came in my room and were stood next to it asking about a burglery down my street.... I was sweating cobs but they didn't even look at it twice!!! HEHEHEHE
