Opinions on the spider farmer SF2000

Actually just noticed then SF4000 uses an ELG-240-48A not the HLG-480H-C2800AB. Any notable difference in those two drivers or things I shouldn’t know before purchasing?
The 4000 would need two of those ELG drivers to hit the advertised wattage. They might use two drivers, but I doubt it.

So I guess my next question would be would be at half the price is that $250 option from alibaba with the hlg 480 driver worth it? Or is there something that makes the sf4000 worth double the price?

I’ve never ordered anything from alibaba. Would you guys trust the 480w I posted in link? I know spider farmer is also Chinese so if I could save over $250 I’d really be leaning towards the one from alibaba if it’s comparable to the sf4000 and won’t sh*t out on me

I don't think that's a spider farmer on alibaba, 600*480*55mm vs 648*536*59MM on the spider farmer web site.
Also, I see "1. Optional Samsung LM301H LED with high efficacy 2.7 μmol/J. "

I also could not find spiders farmer brand on alibaba just some stuff using same or similar parts. Would you trust this light in your honest opinion. This one isn’t preassembled, and it’s just a couple dollars more than the similar diy kits.

Just as it says.... This is an HLG550 knockoff. SF has a different sized board and cool covers for their wires.
If you're on a budget, try looking at the TS3000 FROM Mars Hydro.
Same type of fixture.

Budget isn’t a huge concern just want to make sure I don’t overpay if there’s something just as good for less. I was originally looking at Mars but I believe I was reading somewhere that the Samsung diodes are better for growing cannabis than epistar or whatever is used in mars. I have absolutely no idea if that’s true as i just switched to white LEDs instead of blurples.

I think I may just go ahead and buy a second sf2000. I just put it in and I’m already seeing some good results. Deeper green (May just be from not looking at purple lights all the time) and faster growth. I’ll hold onto my blurples if I need more light when I increase size or just sell them to purchase a 3rd sf2000 if needed.

Again, I really appreciate all the feedback guys. Thanks for your patience with all my questions

I'm using 1 over just a single soil plant in 5 gal. I'm not so sure it will cover a full 3 x 3 spread as the 600w hps next to it throws farther spread. It is working nicely over the plant its on though. I'm still at least 6-7 weeks out from any sort of judgement call. I had a 2nd plant under it but since I forgot what freebies I popped when it shot up twice as tall with no sign of buds yet I culled to maintain even canopy height.
How did this grow turn out?
