I'm currently doing a grow with 18 seeds I've collected from random bags I've gotten. My question is how do you feel about naming random bag seed? I wanted to give the strains I decide to keep names because 8/10 I wont be growing the same way as the OG grower so it'll display different characteristics plus its a seed so maybe even a different pheno. On the other hand someone probably spent a while breeding and selecting the pheno just for me to come and rename it.


So:
A - What Can I do to make it my own and rightfully name it? or B - should I just tell the people I share with its just "insert locally used word for good no name weed" ...?!

I guess you can call it whatever you want. I wouldnt tell people its something that it isnt tho. If you really want something your "own", breed your best male and your best female. Then you can actually name this new strain anything without lying

Thank you! No I wasn't gonna call it like Sundae Drive or anything hyped up. I wanted to come up with my own name but yeah I guess your right thanks for the input tbh I was ready to scrap it all and order new beans with actual names!

If you find something special name it whatever the fuk u want.. If you can keep track of what the original strain that's not a terrible idea.. Just think, chemdog and Glue came from what is basically bag seed.. Maybe you can find magic?

I know what strains I got them from but not which seed is which. I'm gonna try my luck with making some F1 seeds if I find a nice male and keep him at my girlfriends house until pollen drops! then dust a branch or two and cover them up so pollen doesn't get in my whole grow!
