In all seriousness I would not recommend less than 12 hours of light. Less might push the plant to finish faster but you'd be happier waiting.

Guessing 2 oz dried bud per plant but that depends on the grower.

It might be alright for veg. I've never tried that little of light for veg.
As for being a replacement for 12/12 it's no good. You need at least 10 hours of dark for photo's. Plenty of people add an hour of light for sativa Dom's these days. Could give more thc but not an absolute necessity.
