Just wondering if there was a breakdown for optimal air movement of 100 cubic feet of grow space?????

odor is not an issue just wanting to move the right amount for plants

thats

4x4x6.5 = 104CFM

104CFM fan will exhaust your grow space. Depending on your choice of lighting it may not be enough to also cool your area.

What lighting do you plan on using?

you want all the air in the room to be replaced atleast twice a min,
ideally you should exhaust once a min, but that also depends on choice of lighting CFL's or HID's etc.

If you exhaust more than 3x a min then thats too much negative pressure and creates too much of a vacum inside your grow space.

If you have to exhaust that much then you need to go aircooled or choose a better reflector.

I hear and read people saying anywhere from once every five minutes, 20cfm , to three times a minute, 300cfm.

I personally lean towards 2-3 times a minute. However, I am striving for negative pressure to keep the odor from escaping the flow of air from my room to the outdoors.

With no odor concerns, I would agree with the above. Once a minute.

I would recommend getting a fan that is capable of twice a minute, then add a speed adjustor, and dial in the perfect speed.

This way as conditions change, you can deal with them. Also, you might want to go a little bigger one day. Unfortunately, there is no 11 on inline fans.

You should know that 100 cfm from a can fan/vortex or it's like is what I speak of when saying 100cfm.

A computer fan or booster fan is rated generously. If you are using these fans, I would go for 2 times a minute.

I agree with the overspec i use a 440CFM on my aircooled 600w system to be able to turn everything down in winter up in summer .

Just so you know any negative pressure will stop leaks. Even powered intakes as long as they are more than 20% lower CFM's than the exhaust will still create enough negative pressure to stop leaks.

I personally run a sealed 440CFM 600w aircooled system , with separate Fan 150CFM / filter for exchange and scrubbing with a small powered intake.
