I just ran the 24 hr test on my box and my temp is at 90F and my humidity is at 20%. Is this ok for veg? If not what would be a better setting for both veg and flower?
I got it down to 85 and it seems to be holding there. I'm sure I could get it to 75-78 if I took the light trap off of the intake (really didn't need it just wanted to make one for the hell of it). I know it restricts just the amount of air needed to take it down those few degrees. Thanks a lot! Stop through and check out my journal from time to time. I'm sure I could learn plenty from you. Happy Growing!Optimal 78 lights on 68-70 off. Humidity 40-60%
Your 90 is too high, 85 max. You could get away with the low humidity though. But I bet as you get your temps down the humidity will rise a bit......
Never would have thought of that, thank you very much! The shape of space influences air flow if you have a accordion design dryer vent in the setup replacing with some sheet metal is likely to have a better result than removing the vent. Check around for an air flow meter they can be like 10 bucks and very accurate for determining the limiting factor.
Thats a perfect time to plant it, just don't give it too many nutrients for the first week, in fact no nutes are better. And don't bury the sucker, you can even leave a little piece of the seed popping through the soil for two reasons. ( first that 1/8 inch is trying to become a root and second the top part is searching for light) so let it go both ways. I do this and have had 98% germ rate! How soon after the seed pops open should I plant it? The tail is only about an 1/8th of an inch long.
Thats a good idea, and the first time I've ever heard of it, thanks I might try extra perlite!I found out that if you put rocks from the bottom of a fish tank on the top of your soil the humidity raises or you could maybe put perlite on top, but I don't have perlite laying around
Where can you get an airflow meter that measures CFM for $10??? I tried to find one that was less than $50, they were all very expensive HVAC tools, couldn't find any affordable ones. The shape of space influences air flow if you have a accordion design dryer vent in the setup replacing with some sheet metal is likely to have a better result than removing the vent.
