Optimal watering time

What part of the plants day cycle would be best to water? At the plants morning? Right before the lights shut off? or in the middle of theyre day or night? Just curious

need a botanist on this one

You can water when ever you want. I water right before the lights go off. It doesn't matter what time of day you water just as long as you water them!

I'm far from a Botanist.... But i water just after lights on...Leaves go from sleepy droppy to OMG LETS GET SOME LIGHT !

Plants work on a " Capillary action " sucking water in thru the roots to the top of the plant .... and i would think it's best for that operation to take place when the plants are awake ?

Should i have used a search engine?? Thanks, that was my guess.. figuring they would start the day with water and use the light to the maximum

When is best depends of some environmental factors like humidity and temperature. If its hot during lights on your plants will be thirsty and it would prolly be best to water in the morning. If humidity is not a problem or heat then you can water at night. If its hot and humid watering at night might allow more moisture to build up since the heat of the lights on cycle wont evaporate water much since you water late.

Plants shut their stomas When sunlight/artificial light is present inorder to retain their moisture. Stomas control gas movement through the plant. Co2 and water vapor are utilized in photosynthesis, as well as the suns energy. They shut their stomas and live off the available materials in the organism, only to open them at night to allow for more uptake. Water when lights out IMO.
