options for veg cab

i have a metal lockable filing cabinet with dimensions of 30''h 32''W and 22'' deep. I'm planning on using it for a veg cab. Would a 250 watt metal halide light be good in a cool tube with about 300cfm outtake fan? I think this should keep it cool enough right? then i'm think about drilling some holes on the back towards the bottom for a passive intake. or should i up it to 400 watts?

400 watt should be plenty for that small of a space. If you want to increase lumens you could get a digital ballast or upgrade to the hortilux bulb.

yeah i was going digital no matter on the wattage, so 400 over 250?
