Oregon Outdoor, 2020

I'm thinking of mixing Southern Ag Thurcide BT with a dose of their Friendly Fungicide to knock out budworms and keep the botrytis under control. Anyone tried these 2 together? Are they cooperative or mutually exclusive?

I moved my one lonely plant under the raincover and turned on the fan in preparation for the 2-3 days of rain we're supposed to get

This late in the game spraying is going to trap moisture, spray if you must, but you will taste it and it may be more detrimental than removing affected areas at harvest. It’s a judgment call honestly, them worms are bastards

Hey all, how goes the season? Guessing most of you are nearing harvest or have already completed it. All of mine are still going in various stages. Chemdawg is a couple weeks away and for the most part is going without many issues. The cookies and cream is pretty underwhelming, it has a very small and skinny bud structure. It's about a week away from complete. My chocolate hashberry is by far my most impressive. It's about 6 weeks into flower, which sucks because it has to go through its most vital stage is this environment. It's a massive hedge of a plant. 10' tall and packed with buds. I had to put some more trellis netting up today, about 8-9' into the canopy. The weight is starting to weigh on the branches and didn't want any breaks. I found about 5 leaves that had the beginnings of PM on them, and one bud with a worm in it. No rot to be found yet. I have a 50 50 chance of it surviving another 3 weeks without major issues. Fingers crossed. Happy growing all. All the pictures are of the chocolate hashberry.

About the same. Hoping for 3 weeks, (praying). Long stemmed year. And about 2 weeks later than normal flower. Best wishes from the Great Lakes.

nice looking plants ! I have a Golden Pineapple that still has a ways to go. Rainy in southern Oregon so I tried to make a tent that would still have some airflow.

This is my second outdoor grow here in Portland! Been getting my info here for a couple years now, and I gotta say I love this site. Growing seeds into fat little ladies is the best hobby out there ! Below is my Lemon Sour D Bagseed right before chop.

I have used BT on my heirloom toms for decades. I have never used anything with it. I don't believe you need to use a fungicide, but your climate and conditions are different than mine. I never thought it distracted from the flavor. I have never had to use BT on pot.

My plant is doing well and is still mold/mildew and pest-free, but still needs a couple of weeks to finish

This is the frostiest shit I've grown- I'll try to post a pic tomorrow

Beautiful buds man! The weather is good here in Oregon so i think you should let them go as long as you can!

Well my plant got hammered when temperatures dropped to 22 the other night. I was hoping for two more weeks but bud rot is becoming an issue. Night shots are the bomb !

It got down to about 27 where I'm at. My Dahlia's and Zinnia's are toast and what was left in the garden is finished for good as well. But my plant is doing fine since I bring it inside at night.

All my outdoor is done sadly the 2 really frosty mornings took the wind out of the gals sails. Nice temps during the day in the sun but no good for growing too cold. Got cloudy trichs last two GSC buds did not firm up but really smelling great and frosty & sticky. I'm happy with the season.

Rule #1 - When growing outdoors in NW Oregon grow a strain that finishes before December.

So I thought I planted a Ruderalis Indica, then a Ruderalis Indica + Panama cross I made, and now don't think it's either. I planted it one night on the patio after a day of drinking Gin. I have so many vials of seeds so I don't know what I planted. I'm thinking it's one of the Oldtimers Haze crosses I made because of how long it's taking to flower. I have 4 - 5 of them. This plant needs another 4 weeks at least. Probably longer. Hopefully before January. It kind of sucks because I can't give it the light it needs with it being 8 ft tall and raining outside.

I bring it inside at night and during the day I lay it sideways over a chair under the awning where the sun shines for most of the day if it's out. Now that my pole beans have all died there is no place in the yard to put it where it's hidden and can't be seen by the neighbors. It might be legal to grow here but as I've said before, I still don't want my neighbors to know I'm growing. Although I'm pretty sure one neighbor saw it even though I tried to hide it next to the beans. But they mind their business and I mind mine. They have half their yard devoted to garden space like I do so they might have something hiding out there as well. But I don't peek through the fence so I don't know.

Took this a few days ago. Plant is laying at an angle across a chair. Pretty fluffy looking and it is. But it smells pretty good. Stinks up the house when I bring it in at night. The bud structure also leads me to believe that it is an OTH cross or maybe just a straight OTH reproduction. I don't know. Regardless, I'll run it until it's done. I might break out the old magnetic 1000 watt HPS ballast and hang it in one of the spare rooms. I'd have to grow the plant horizontal but it would benefit tremendously from the light.

I’m writing because of the jahgoo you mentioned .
It’s a rarer cut .
I’ve run it many times since 2010, and it’s been a perennial favorite . It’s in danger of going extinct and was wondering if you have any of the non hybridized ( I.e just Jasmine x goo ) seeds or cuts ?

The original jahgoo is deep purple Calxyes with green fan leaves And a nose in between purple sharpie and blackberry. Very distinct.

I’m just curious because it was never a widely disseminated cut. I’ve heard that the originator of the strain lost it .. not sure how true that is but was just seeing if anyone else had it still.

Unfortunately, I do not have any of those. My wife got these seeds from the head grower at a grow operation where she work a few years ago. They were from his personal stash. Most of what they grew was crossed with JahGoo. The farm got bought out by a corporation and they laid off everyone and brought in their own people. We lost track of the head grower after that.

Speaking of the Black Afghani Rose/JahGoo plant, after losing half of the plant to bud rot and mold, I decided to see if I could reveg it and get another crop from it. It's is under 18/6 lighting. Here are some pictures of it. The first is after 3 weeks, and the last two were taken 4 weeks later.
