:joint::joint:Great tip... something I'll definitely have to try. Thnx, GG

It does and you can notice first hand for yourself. I have heard of this many times and wanted to try it for my self so I did.

Now that I have tried it, yes it is something I do with almost every plant I harvest. I notice that giving them this prolong period of no light makes them ripen and also seems to bring out more sticky trichs.

Looks like grade A stuff. Clean and usable. If you can get it easy like I would mix in soil like Pon De Floor mentioned. It's low enough in NPK that it would make a nice add to soil.
Golden, what do you think about me adding some Black Kow into my organic tea I brew? Ever worked with it? It's compost and manure, all organic I believe, thoughts, opinions?

Awesome results!! I just started using 3 gallon smart pots and use FFOF as well and organic nutrients as well, very mild applications. I don't have the greatest yields, yet, but there's nothing like that taste you get from buds grown organicly. I almost never smoke anything grown in hydro these days :leaf:

:mrgreen:This is using Smart Pots and Fim~ Sour Kush (from Purple Sour Kush in 12/12/ last pic is mom)
How long did you veg her? I'm looking to move up to 5 gallon smart pots after I go through a few cycles in my 3 gallon ones

PON DE Flor ~ Dam that must of been a beautiful Harvest
Hey Baja, how often do you find you're watering with your 3 gallon smart pots? And that said, what are your temps? Mine are mid 70's, but I feel like I'm watering more than I used to. Every other day, but they could almost go everyday. Am I losing it? GG, whadda 'bout you? How often you watering, and what are your temps? Thnx guys :peace:

My temps have been up and down recently from anywhere between 78 to 86 while the lights are on, just depends on how cold it gets outside my bedroom window. I probably water them every 3 to 4 days or so

Yeah, I got up to 80* too not too long ago, and I picked them up and they were dry, and a little droopy:shock:. Normally I'm around 74*. I've got quite a bit of air movement in my tent, tho, which I think tends to dry things out.

i mix that with my soils. keeps them nice and green, especially if you add equal parts mushroom compost.

I just put three blueberry bush starts and a rose bush starting into soils amended with Black Kow. I mixed in some good stuff when I started these girls but compost I did not, I think I will at least use it as a top dressing I have enough time left that I'm sure it can be put to good use... (5-6 weeks). I hope to have some great looking 100% organic buds to share around then!

I veged for about 2.5 months. Once the plant matures, it takes little time for her to bush out and go GREEN. Smart pots will dry out along the edge, so what I do is water along the rim every other day and between that I feed once, wait 1-2 hours and feed again so all soil gets wet.

ahhhh, yes, I've noticed that, too. I tend to soak the whole thing pretty well, but maybe I'll stick to the outside rim when I'm doing the every other water. I found a solid little watering can that has a nice, small head on it that doesn't shoot out too much water, and does so slowly and evenly so my plants absorb quite a bit. I'll take a snap of it later today when I check the girls. Even when you turn it over a ton, the water still stays at a pretty constant flow. It's such a simple thing, but I'm so happy with it. :peace:

I need to get some more smart pots soon, I only bought a few to try them out and am yet to even harvest a plant with the pots but so far I can see a big difference in growth half way into flowering. I have a Sharksbreath and Pineapple Express that were vegged for 9 weeks and an Afghan Kush Special that was vegged for 10 so I'm hoping for some decent results :weed:

I hope so! This is my first run with these pots, so far I am very happy with them, I will probably upgrade to 5 gallon smart pots for my next run. I just transplanted my third Pineapple Express into a soil from my cloner. The plan is to run 3 at the same time in 5 gallon pots :weed:
