Hey guys. I'm curious as to whether there is any way to do an organic DWC grow? Any thoughts or insight?

Yes use the Flora Nova from general hydro, its a pretty thick muddy mud thing but its the real deal, and its seems to support a good microbion in the res.

less is more when growing hydro.. when your mixing in tons of excess chemicals at high rates thats what give the hydro such a bad taste... if you run general hydro grow micro bloom properly with a kool bloom additive and flush properly youll have good buds... hydro is never on the "organic" taste and high level IMOP but when its done properly and flushed properly its good smoke.

Organic is a tough word to nail down. Manufactures can label their nutes Organic if it's 60% or above. That means even if you're buying organic labeled nutes, they still have some non-organic materials in them. Let me put this in perspective. One manufacture has 60% organics in their mix. They can stick on the organic label. Another manufacture has 59% organics in their mix. They have to label it non-organic. Do you really think you could tell the difference?
Here's the problem I have with labels. Are rocks organic? Let's say you're trying to decide whether Rock Phosphate is organic or not. Clearly it's not a living thing or hasn't been broken down by any living microbe. Technically it's not organic but many manufactures use it in their organic mix because it works so well.
Botanicare's line is about as close to organic as you can get and works well in a Hydro setup. I'm currently using their new "Kind" brand of nutes and having good luck.

yeah absolutely "organic" especially in the states is a fairly vague statement. theres some things like alfalfa meal and blood meal which are certified USDA ORGANIC then theres stuff like feather meals and stuff that depend on how its made to even be considered "organic" plus the term organic veries by continents certain items that are organic in the states isn't considered organic in canada.
