Organic grow questions

Hey fellow grothers I've been thinking of doing me next grow all organic. I've been thinking of prepping my soil beforehand with the following

Premium 100 percent organic soil containing peat, perlite, neem for pest control, lime and worm castings which is in the soil to begin with.
Blood and bone NP of 5 4+10ca+2mg
Sulphate of potash K 40 which is not organic though so will prob change that but I have seen it work well mixed with blood and bone
Organic biofungicide granules
600 gram trace elements
Epsom salt
Perlite

Will be vegging indoors for a couple weeks before they go outside. I will also be training them before chucking them in the deep and into the soil mix above, most of the products above will last for around 3 months or less feed wise which is what I'm looking for as I'm planning on not seeing them for a while after the first 2 weeks being put out. Will have bio biz products on deck as well.

All will be outdoor also so any input as mentioned will be useful. Have grown indoors and dwc before using cannas range of nutrients which ph balanced itself if mixed right so was all good once ya got with it. The outdoor world is another scene to me

Any input/criticism is welcome aboard

You don't list amounts of anything.
Many of us don't like blood or animal bone meals.
You shouldn't put Epsom directly in soil.

You can get organic potassium sulfate on amazon!

Oh yeah true that mate. Since I've been young I've seen me old boy back in the day prep his soil with it and always came out nice. I can find some other stuff locally. Just seeing what othershe input is. Cheers for that mate

Normally it's just been mixed up with out measurements all by eye but I'll be doing it different to me old boy. Haha think we do stuff differently where we from. Usually dig a hole put all our old fish heads etc in horse shit etc give a nice mix up let sit for a while then grow in that

My advice to you is, dig as big of a hole as you can afford to fill. Figure out what training you want to do and start it early. Also make sure you have a plan for putting up a cage for supports. I think then you will do well. And even tho I know me and the doc has disagreed on putting epsom salt into the soil....I usually do sprinkle some in the hole right before I put the root ball in.
I started my seeds late feb and put them out in mid May and have massive plants. Sounds like you are on the right path.

Ya know what,,,,,I never bothered to ask you.......What are you using the Epsom for?
Maybe, I have a more "proper" solution.....
Yet, oddly enough. If it's what I think your using it for, and you don't want to change.. Simply mix the Epsom in the water you use to start the cooking process. You will not loose a significant portion in any rain or watering.

And yet, if it works for you! DO IT!

I use it for both mag and sulfer. And the reason I add a little below the root ball is one of the epsom Web sites actually said to do it. But I know that was used up long ago so I water with it now, about a tbs per gallon- once to twice a month depending on if they plants need it.

Mg is already available in good amounts in everything else you may use - not that your over doing it. Same thing for the sulfur!

Dolomite is a strong Mg source too.

Sulfur is found in concentrations higher then Epsom many times in MANURE! Many organic planting methods suggest lining the transplant hole with it for just that purpose.

Another good source is gardening gypsum! I love this stuff, and use it in initial soil building and again at the same time I recharge used soils for P (not every recharge).

Sul-Po-Mag is a soil amendment sold in flower shops and amazon etc. It's base is sulfate of potash-magnesia, and I like higher K, all grow long.. On the farm, we buy this stuff by the skid in 50lb bags! There are concentrations that shift a bit on the K (0-0-18 to 0-0-23) The run down is 0-0-18, Sulfur 22% and Mag is 11%. The brand we use is "Green Sense"..

These are simple alternatives I said I would give........But like I said before - If it's working good for you - DO what works for YOU!

Yeah I am buying some gypsum and the so-po mag for the next grow. Was already on my list!!! Thanks!
