I love the way you separate soil
life and nutrients they are given to process, makes it all very easy to understand.
One thing I'd like to relativate, without getting too complicated: the microbes won't actually DIE under most natural conditions like drought, flood, heat or cold (unless extreme). Or even mildly anaerobic conditions.
Rather, they will usually go
dormant.
Meaning, they can be coaxed to revive given the right environment again, but it can take a bit to get them back up to speed. And we can accelerate this process with a nicely activating compost tea.
So when bad things happen, it's not like all microlife will be wiped out (horrors! panic!), just knocked out a bit.
And they'll recover given better conditions
