Teaspoons, not tablespoons, I wanted to go very slowly.
.
R-e-l-i-e-f.... I am glad to hear, it was teaspoons. Cause the Guano has some powerful Mojo...
.
Then if your soil temp is good, pH is correct and it's been a few weeks - I'm a little stumped. I'm still leaning towards overpopulation of micro-beaties. I'll need a pic or two, cause my second cup of coffee has not kicked in, yet.
.
Hang in there... Marys a tuff gal... She'll work it out...if we can't figure it out.

I have some Trichoderma culture (not SPT but essentially the same) and on the container it says not to use during prefruit or bloom stages. Why? Will it harm the plant, or is it less effective? I would imagine that keeping a Mychorizal culture going in the root zone would still be beneficial for the uptake of nutrients, right?

Basically, the reasoning behind stopping use the last few weeks is to limit the population.
.
If you continue to add them right up until finish, there is the possibility of over population. This can cause to many nutrients to be funneled into the roots of your plants. Your plants then start storing the extra nutes in tissues which can affect taste and slow plant growth.
.
With Super Plant Tonic, I give the full strength dose, at week two of growth. Then I drop back to half strength for the next month. Then quarter strength for a month. Then I stop the last two or three weeks and just let my plants coast to the finish line.
.
The first time I used it, I went full strength the first month, and half strength all the way to the end. I did not see better results, using it up to the end. In fact, my best results have come from stopping the last two or three weeks.
.
Hope this helps...

Is there anything you can add during flowering that would help add more smell and flavor or is letting the plant flush the best thing to do?

P.S. Just got a Email from the guys in Blue Mont. and there coming out with a line of organic nutes from start to finish next week if anyones interested i know i am!

So no STp during flowering? im first week in with one week untill water/nut change should i add stp?
.
Goinggreen .. I answered your other post. Since, you are going to be using Epsom Salt to correct the Mg deficency - you will need to add SPT after changing out the reservior water. The sulphur present in Epsom Salt is going to kill some of your micro-beaties - so, when you refill for your flowering run - I'd give it a double strength dose. That way the micro-beasties can bounce back to their orginal levels more quickly.
.
I just stop using it the last 3 to 4 weeks of flowering (in soil) because I already have a good poplulation of the micro-beaties established and there is nothing to be gained by adding more.

Recieved my SPT a few days ago and used it yesterday so we'll see what happens.

As a side note, I picked up some Foliar Harmony, and a few bottles of Flower Power ($2 a bottle is hard to beat, they have a flat rate shipping on multiple orders) on ebay. Got an email today thanking me for my order and saying that they were throwing in a free bottle of Grow it Green so I could experience their whole trio.

I am really digging this company.

Yes...Angus... Dealing with hippies is kind of strange. They are honest, easy going and helpful. You know like people used to be 50 years ago. I love their SPT.
.
Next week, my new girls will be far enough along to get some Grow It Green. I look forward to seeing how it performs. I'm guessing I will not be disappointed.

would you add any grow green with the flower power durning the flowering period!

O and i picked up the newest Hightimes and was reading about adding carbs to you plant even in the 2 week flushing period!
what do you think about this?

Sweet leaf, molasses, and some other additives mostly organic i think? i dont know about the Sweet Leaf!

Goinggreen2008... I would add some Grow it Green with my Flower Power at least once. If you cut the dose in half for the Grow it Green that works out to 2.5-1-2.5 added to the Flower Power's 1-8-7 it makes for some nice numbers 3.5-9-9.5 I would then switch to just the Flower Power after that, with maybe a little SPT & molasses.
.
Concerning feeding carbs in the last two weeks, I do not see any harm in it at all. Provided you use 1/2 or 1/4 strength doses of molasses and/or worm castings. Which will ensure, Mary keeps ticking along without deficencies - so she stays on track for a good finish.
.
I have never used the Sweet Leaf product - I have heard it's just repackaged molasses in a fancy bottle. I have used molasses & worm castings tea right up to the finish a couple of times. I don't believe I saw any more real yield, but the plants I gave it to - looked a little greener / healther than the ones I held it back from.
.
P.S. - When you get your Grow it Green & Flower Power - tell me what you think they smell like - I can't quite put my finger on it ? But it is nicer smelling than the SPT.

How should i go about gettin molasses considering im dwc? isnt molasses thick and dense like a syrup?
.
Walmart carries Briar Rabbit brand (unsulphured molasses) for about $ 2.50 a bottle. At a mix of one ounce to one gallon of unchlorinated water - it equals roughly 5-1-3 So, depending on what range you are looking for cut the dose. 1/2 strength would be the way to go.
.
You can pour it straight into your reservior, since you have it bubbling 24/7 - with no problems. The SPT's good fungi & bacteria will break it down to it's simplest form - and feed it to your roots.
.
Hope this helps....

Cool beans sounds great!

Im 2 week in flowering and everything is leaning toward my MH which is on the side of the wall and the HPS which is above. i really dont have room for both to be hanging above considering im 2.5x2x5.8 but its a 400wat mh with a 400 watt hps on only 3 plants. lol i know thats alot for only three but i want to get a good dense crop and ive read dual spetrum is the best way to go!

IT just seems that the mh is way more powerful than the hps? i dont know why maybe just me!

O and i switched out the water today! man my roots are everywhere i cant take my top off without ripping some roots! glad i have a drain.

But i added like 1/4 teaspoon of salt to my stp gh nutes per gallon! i ddnt want to add a lot so i went super small. i think my plants needed more than three days of some extra MAG considering i drained all the previous water out!

hm, this is cool. Major question, would the 3 new organic nutes take the place/do the same work as SPT?

Would I be able to buy some soilless organic mix, and BMO's NEW organic trio, and their worm castings/bat guano and call it a day?
Like I don't need anything else if I want to keep it at that for what's in my growing medium? In terms of having happy and healthy plants (all other variables in good condition of course)

I haven't bought the Foxfarm soil and nute line yet, and would love to make my gardens as organic as possible (lots of my veggie seeds are organic).
This would be a lot cheaper than FF too :)
.
Jaime.... I have been using the SPT for quite a while now, it really does help allot in the root zone. I just recently got their new grow, foliar and bloom blends. So, I can't say yet wheter they do as well on their own yet or not.
.
I started a test crop and decided to do several of each: One set using only organic teas - I make (similar NPK) & SPT. One using only the new BMO blends & SPT. and One set using only the BMO blends (no SPT). I am using the same seed stock and soilless medium (jiffy seed starting mix) with each of them. That way, I am only seeing the results of the fertilizers. In a few weeks I will be able to tell you something for certain.
.
P.S. - If you were planning on buying the trio and wanted to save a buck - ask for a sample of the SPT. They are pretty nice people to deal with. I bet they'd give you a sample. Or maybe sell you one just for the shipping ? Heck, never hurts to ask.

Jaime... I am sure you will not be disappointed. I love their SPT, and I have started the Grow it Green as of two days ago. My wife used the Flower Power on some Roses over the weekend & they are looking better than ever.
.
I like the fact, they are a small company, they make their stuff in small batches, and it's all Organic.
