Like I said bro, "All natural". If you want to experiment on your plants after they have grown into a strong little plant, then by ll means. Cannabis is very weak against nutes in the seedling stage because all of the food provided by the cotyledons. If light, water and warmth are present while there is a cannabis seed amidst, then it will grow until the taproot finds a medium to anchor it's foot into and takes off into a lovely plant - or - The root dies exposed to air or rots in water - or - It grows in an area where there isnt enough water and/or light and use it's cotyledons for food until it just dies... why am I rambling on? Because I want you to know the importance of nature and it's ways. The food is mainly supplied by the cotyledons until enough growth is in place for photosynthesis to take place; They will continue to provide until they yellow and die off. At that point I introduce nutrients that the plant needs because the cotyledons are drained and can no longer provide a maturing plant what it needs.

I'm starting to use the regular cheap-o black potting soil though for seedlings and rooting clones in small clear cups to see root growth. I would suggest you try the same. Get clear 6 - 12 oz cups and use regular black potting soil you would buy at the 99 cent store or your local super with the small gardening section (not miracle grow or any other fertilized soil)... anything with sheep/goat poo and worm castings is kick ass ^_^

I can guide you if you like, if you decide to grow more...

Thanks for stopping by bro & I'm sorry about your plantitas.

Nope ^_^ The 3 remaining are female! No balls or stress on the girls. I think it's the setup I have that kicked these girls into over drive. It could be the Unsulfured molasses I've been using (I know everyone talks about molasses towards the end of flowering but my plants don't lie). I use (in a blender) 2 tbsp molasses and 1/2 cup bran rice that has been soaked for 48 - 72 hours per gallon for flowering and I was blessed with rain water about a month ago which has high nitrogen levels and I collected about 5 gallons of it which just recently ran out. I have been alternating rain water and tap water + molasses + Rice bran for phosphorous (never before mentioned) after the 12/12 switch.

Edit: I also want to try using some sulfur soap (bar with big yellow sulfur chunks in it). What do you think? Any ideas?

P.S. Thanks for posting ^_^

I think polluted rain water is better because of the acidity. Acid rain I heard if not too acidit is good for plants. I may be wrong but it's what I heard bro.

that might be true..but the rain here has alota metal in it to, so i dont think it will be real good. i usually get a 4gal spring water jug, my tap water is ok to as long as i let it sit for 24h

Can you get your hands on some sea shells (Maybe egg shells will work too?). In Vietnam it was discovered that using crushed sea shells will remove heavy metals from water and it may add calcium too ^_^

i didnt know that dude....but my tap water is pretty safe and pH friendly..so i dont really bother. were i live i have no acces to good natural things like you do lol...the sea is along way from me.

last time i checked my tap water was 6.8 ph and its pretty clean. the thing i wish i had more acces to was natural shit from a farm and some bat shit..but no caves close either lol...but i do see alota bats all summer, jus gotta find were they sleep

Natural stuff is everywhere, just have to find a source. Go incognito if you can't find it laying around, claim it's for something else. I would ask for a high phosphor & potassium fert in my local gardening supplies right now and say that it's for hops for my experimental home brew stuff but I know it's around somewhere and in it's natural form. Besides, who knows best? Mother nature or mother nature in a science lab, later to be manhandled by half brained monkeys (like myself) and either kill my plant or hurt myself and others that toke my stuff. Because it smells like the best, looks like the best & smoke like the best does not mean that it's the best for you..(i.e.) Like the USDA's choice of it's nations hormonal treatment of all that is edible, livestock or plantae... Bigger isn't always better sometimes.

So there you go, if you cant get it naturally, then fib for it. If it's not available for purchase locally at a garden supply, then try the local stock feed supply for some natural stuff like: Molasses(potassium) and grains(Phosphorous) for flower. Veg is another story and there and tons of ferts you can buy at the local super for veg(most contain micro nutrients too). If none of that comes readily available, then order it through ebay (Check your country's customs rules on bio ferts & mineral importation...)

Just ym 2 cents bro ^_^

Update:

I know I keep changing shit but I know there wasn't enough light to sustain the growth for these plants. I said fuck it and decided to risk it anyway; I went ahead and hooked up an H1 55w Xenon 4300K bulb inside of a modified incandescent bulb (perfect fit!). I left that with the 4 CCFL tubes and was still not convinced with the amount of light in the grow box (since yesterday around 4 pm until an hour ago - about 24 hrs total), so now I added the 26w 2700K CFL into the mix, on the other side of the "Stinky Green".

Damn it! This better be the last bit o tinkerin' I be doin' on 'em girlz. o.0

The lens of my camera captured the spectrum over the date. Lots of blue & yellow. Little red =( Maybe it's irrelevant to the actual spectrum kicked off by the lights and maybe it's not. 55w xenon and 46w CFL+CCFL combined. Any takers?

Since the last photo shoot ^_^

Stretchy or normal?

:hump: Thanks! I'm really considering that second HID that I have but I need another power supply. Hope these buds continue on their path... I have a feeling that I'll be smoking my toenails on some green gum if these bitches don't hurry up... Damn Genotype (and lighting)!!! Other people are smoking theirs already dammit

P.S. Thanks for stopping in!

Heat and cost of energy to run the cooling devices. This grow is in my bedroom and it get pretty hot down here. It was a max of 36 Celcius and around 96.8 Farenheit + my room gets hot from sun up to sun down (top floor). No AC and the fans only get the room hotter... I'm sure it gets near 100 in here so the option of anything bigger than what I have will produce massive amounts of radiation and heat. Another HID is pushing it and I know that even a single 75 watt HPS and ballast will produce more heat than a Xenon kit.

If and when I go solar/wind powered, I'll go all out on the cool and proper shit. I'll even wire it's own AC in to the grow; Now that's the shit! If it was on me, I would buy a 100 KW Solar panel kit and supply the state

Update:

If I was a hooker changing her panties in comparison to me changing shit, then it would be quite accurate! I punked out on leaving the grow as it is (as is the story of my life) and had to add a 3rd pair of CCFL tubes (scored on a used ballast at the local Sunday-Market/Bazzar/"Tianguis") and guess what? THEY WORK! And it was only $1.50 U.S. (18 pesos after bartering claiming I need change for a call and that I'm thirsty for bottled water but I NEED this, LOL,) from about 3 dollars => (I'm good dammit!). I also stripped my old computer for it's cheap 'ol "Antec Basiq 500w" and jumped the #14 + #15 pins for an always on state and an LED + an old Intel Northbridge fan from a fried mobo on the 5v rail for load.

Point is that I got all the CCFL + Two 55w Xenon HID H1 4300K (installed the second light last night) on this crappy PSU and I'm shocked to feel it running so cool from the fan and chassis! The other 12V 10A regulated supply was burning up with 2 kits of CCFL and a single Xenon light. I'm planing on using it to power an HP Thin Client rated at 12v 3.3A so it's perfect and I needed an adapter. I have a female connector I collected that fits the machine ^_^

Oh yeah! Don't use modded light bulbs without using wire to wrap around the bulb and base or it will simply slide off from heat melting/shrinking the filler between the glass and metal. As a matter of fact, don't use them unless you feel comfy with light/radiation output. I feel like lumens and actual radiation is lost because I can feel it really bad without the glass in place... YAY! I know my girls are getting more of the bad stuff to make more of the good stuff ^_^
