Original Purple Haze?

Ever since I heard "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix I've wanted to track down and grow that strain. After reading about it online it seems a lot of people have said that the original strain is extinct, is that true? What exactly is the difference between the Purple Haze of the 60s-70s and today? What do you guys think? :bigjoint:

Seeding doesn't affect potency. You should make sure it's the fluffiest, most delicate dank you have ever held. By the way, check the link for what the real deal looks like.

It was not about weed. Hendrix claimed it wasn't about drugs, but it is widely assumed the song referred to the L.S.D that was given the name Purple Haze at the time. Purple Haze weed came after the fact. But, to this day, no one can come up with ANY evidence of a specific strain called Purple Haze. It may have existed in the backwoods of some county in Cali, but I've never heard any concrete facts. It's all heresay, and anyone who says they have smoked it will not be able to prove they did.
