Oscillating fands that dont break within a year

Oscillating fans have no place in a well designed grow room. These fans create turbulence and pockets of dead air. Fixed fans can be oriented to create laminar airflow through establishment of Horizontal Air Flow Cells. Regardless of how big or small your grow might be, taking the time to establish HAF cells will benefit your plant health. Fixed fans don't break as often either.

i don't like the oscillating fans, either, i never want a fan blowing directly on my plants. i have 4 small honeywell fans in my tent, 2 blowing straight up against the back wall in either corner, and 2 more mounted just under the "roof" blowing toward the front of the tent, just above my lights. this blows cool air upwards from the bottom of the tent and across my lights, then blows it out of the tent to mix with room air. it makes all of the plants in the tent stir slightly, which is all you need.

I won a Vivosun 6" oscillating fan during Christmas time, I'll be setting it up in the next day or so. It's really nice on the outside at least. Been years since I've used a 6" oscillator, the ones I had in the past burned out fast, so we'll see how it does.

I personally like the oscillation. I have 2 24inch fans from Global Industries, and a 10" hyperfan on the floor blowing at 45 degrees to the opposite corner and under the tables. You can stand anywhere in the room (20x30) and get a gust every few seconds. The 24 in fans are blowing right over the top of the canopy. They have been running non stop since 2018.
