Other Side of the Fence...Where the Grass is Always Greener

Why thank you lol.

Personally I've never tried DWC but I understand hydro completely (used to be a full hydro guy) and its all about monitoring your res now.

Hope you haven't burned your roots too badly.

Keep an eye on those ppm's and you should be ok.

Remember, increase in ppm in your res, add more water to decrease ppm.

You're looking for the "sweet spot" whereby nutes and water are uptaken at the same rate leaving ppm stable or with a very minimal decrease.

Once you find that sweet spot, as plants grow bigger their demand for nutrients is greater so the sweet spot changes.

Just try to find it each time and you should get stellar results.

This is without a dout the best advice on nutes I have ever gotten! The logic behind it is perfect. ...and my ppm readings have always gone up. I love when I can turn everything into a math problem... Now (thank you) they are going down ever so slowly!

You rock Jon!

No worries.

Just be thankful I stopped by that day. I must have missed about +40 pages of this thread as it is lol.

Yeah, that's a great looking bud shot. I'm sure it will be a good smoke. Pistils look pretty receded and getting some color on them. Time to check the trichs for cloudiness.

Thank You brother prosperian

I'm about 35-40% milky, remainder is still clear, but I've noticed that this late on flower, they change dramatically every 12 hours, sooooo I scope them at lights on and lights off.

Wanted to post some more colorful shots, this last week , we've had a significant drop on temps, so my dark cycle temps are in the mid 60s, in which I think all the colors are derived from..

Why thank you Justforme11!!

Think I'm chopping down the plant in the first two pics^ up there.

Today is exactly her 56th day of flower and she looks very ripe.

The breeder calls for 56-60 days on the strain (303 Seeds)*Snow Goddess Phenos.

Apparently,303 also claims that the more purple hue that is found in this strain is indicative of significantly higher CBD content...This is also confirmed thru a grower with more experience than myself, not only from personal data, but the original breeder really took the initiative for further testing.

He ended up getting a Canna-lab tested for cannabinoids....let me see if I can dig around and find them..

^ what kind of pots are y'all using?

Those black spiked ones?
They look really cool... Think I saw prosperian using the same pots...

Just think they look dope!! Any benefit to them?
Yes..I'm guessing..

Results of Canna lab
Snow Goddess 2 Edit:1st two pics at top of page
Max THC 20.86%
Max CBD .08 %
Max CBN .06%

Snow Goddess 3 Edit pictured last up top
*High CBD*
Max THC 7.62%
Max CBD 8.16%
Max CBN .04%

Considering letting the 3 pheno get a bit Amber to increase CBN levels, essentially turning this strain into some very effective sleep/pain medication..

Particularly in shatter form...
;)

the black spikey ones are called "Air pots" i use them as they make a big difference in growth and overall plant size compared to the same size regular pots. each spike out has a small hole in it to air trim the roots as they are growing and also force them to grow in different directions and avoid becoming root bound,

im using 10L air pots for the 1st time with my current grow and my plants are at least double the size of the last lot i ran in regular 10L pots, they are a little on the pricey side for pots but they more than pay for themselves with the results u will get. :)

http://www.airpotgarden.com/store/index.php?app=gbu0&ns=display&ref=airpotworks

Air-Pot containers
have unusual cuspated walls, sort of an egg box configuration, made up of closed inward pointing cones and open ended outward pointing cones. There are no flat surfaces on the inside of the container to deflect roots and start the spiralling process.

The inward pointing cones direct the roots further outward to the open ended cones where, because the air density in the soil is too great, the roots dehydrate and are effectively pruned.
The plant responds to this "air-pruning" by sending out more roots to compensate for the loss which leads to a dense root system with a vast number of active white tipped roots.
The porosity of the Air-Pot wall also creates better conditions for bacterial activity and thus increases the amount of nutrients available to the plant. With so much root right back to the stem, the root system is very efficient in its use of all the available water and nutrient.
Plant vigour and health is therefore guaranteed.
