Our Grow: A newbs first (so far successful) grow, w/pics!

See, what did i tell you, they didnt look that bad!!! haha, they do look ALOT better now, nice and green and burn free...

Yea I know what you mean. when I finaly got my ph right my girls really exploded with growth! so I know the exitment! Keep up the good work girl.

Snapped some more pics of my girls today, figured i may as well update too!

My girls have really taken off after we transplanted them into larger containers and put them in their own big room. They are looking really healthy! They're 3 weeks old today! Very proud they've lasted this long lol.

i gave them their first dose of nutes, 1/4 strength Big Bloom and Grow Big. We bought a humidifier because it was still bone dry in the grow room, and man, did that make a difference! Within 30 minutes it had risen to 42%, and when i was taking the pics, it dropped down to 36%, but i could feel the moisture on my face. Good things are happening with this grow! i'm stoked!!

Bump bump have some more pics! Amazed at how much they've grown! Most of the leaves have 7 fingers, i'm hoping that's a good sign! Still praying that at least one is female. The room is starting to get a soft fragrant scent to it now, but nothing overwhelming. It's nice!

Also, some of the leaves are just a tiny bit "curled"--not the ends, but just the leaves are a little folded into their main vein, what could this be a sign of? Or is it anything i should worry about? Thanks for lookin everyone.

Thanks!! We were really careful during the transplant, and man they just took off after that! i'm really proud, i guess that's why i keep taking pics and updating lol.

They are looking very good to me GP. Growing nice now arn't they? It's amazing how much they will grow when you give them what they need.
I have got my light leak fixed and started flowering last night!
I'm realy pumped now comes the long wait for them to finnish!

Hey Rope, sorry it's been a while since i posted last! i've been meaning to, but kept forgetting once i started gettin my stone on.

Anyway, my girls were exactly one month old yesterday, and i can't believe how much they've grown! The game plan is to get some more lights this weekend so they can bush out even more--and these girls are extremely bushy! Not so tall right now, but man do they ever have some thick stems and branches!

So i do have a couple of questions though. i was gonna ask about flowering, but i imagine there's hundreds of threads on here dealing with that subject, so i'll just cruise through some of them. But another question i had was related to the pictures of the stems--those little leafy-looking things? That's not my girls showing their goodies early, is it? Or do they not even show before you go to 12/12?

Anyway, enjoy the pics, please let me know how they look--i've used my Grow Big and Big Bloom one time since i transplanted, at 1/4 strength. i've watered a couple more times since, and with my next water i'll nute them up again, maybe even regular strength because they really tolerated it well at 1/4 strength. i've been surprised, i haven't had any major problems. My humidity usually stays between 45-50% (except when i've had the door open for a while, as in the pic below), it's never too hot or too cold...i'm really having a blast with these plants, and it gives me the courage to try to grow regular plants!

Hows it going ganjaprincess? Your girls are really looking good. As far as them showing sex before flower, they can show preflowers. But I don't think those are pre flowers. I'm a noob but I think those are on all plants. Didn't get a chance to cheack the girls last night. I'll have to tonight or they will grow into the light! Hi guys, thought i'd update considering all i had to do today regarding the plants. We had 3 realtors come look at our house today (owners are selling it), so we had to disguise our grow room (an upstairs 1/2 room) and hide our plants (underneath the kitchen table covered by a long table cloth). The realtors never suspected a thing, because we moved the plants this morning before they got there and aired out the room. They don't smell too strongly right now, but i know they will more during flower. i have to figure out the stealthiest way to flower them. The grow room has a locking door, which i will keep locked. i plan to always be at home when someone is looking at the house, so they won't pop in unexpectedly. We may just need to hide the plants each time, not sure yet.

In setting up the room again, i added some more lights, so my total is 8 27watt 1260 lumen CFLs and 6 42watt 2850 lumen CFLs, both 6500K if i'm not mistaken. Total lumen output is about 30,000 for a small, closet-sized space.

Anyway, the girls look a little depressed in these pics for a couple of reasons--they've been out of their room for several hours, and they were very thirsty. i watered today with some Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom. They are 38 days old today. i've been lucky, the Ph of my soil has been fantastic the entire time, so that's never been a worry. Temp is about 74 and rising, and humidity is 35% and rising. Hey Rope! My girls are really thriving, i can't believe how well they're doing. So fat and round now! i haven't started flowering yet, even though i probably should--they're 6 weeks old today...but i'm gonna wait for a couple of different reasons. First, my landlords are selling the house we live in, so we may have to move. At the very least, we'll have people viewing the house, so we may have to rethink our growing strategy. It saddens me. And second, my husband is out of town until Tuesday, and he'd be hurt if i started flowering without him lol.

Anyway, i'll see if i can get some pics tomorrow to post. i didn't think they had grown all that much til i looked at the last set of pics i posted, and....wow, they've really grown!

Glad they are doing good GP. Hope you figure a good stratigy for when they show the house. Good luck, and keep up the good work!

Just snapped some pics today as i was movin things around. They're starting to smell *really* nice now.

We're having difficulty controlling the temp in the room, if i leave the door shut, i found it one time at 94 degrees. SMOKIN hot. So we leave the door opened some, and it keeps it within a better temp frame, 80-85 degrees or so. i'd really like to install an exhaust of some sort, but we rent this house, and the owners are trying to sell it, so....not sure what else we can do. Any ideas, anyone?

About your temps, Do you have a window AC unit you could put in that room?
You would still have to leave the door open, so don't know if that would do any thing for you. Later! peace man

Get a small stand alone a/c and use a multi timer. You don't even have to run it out the window if your home at least once a day. Get a giant rubbermaid container and run a drainage hose to that. A timer with 48 switches is optimal just set it to be on for 30 mins every hour and your temp should hold 5-15 degrees cooler.

Just remember that an a/c can blow a fuse so try to keep it on a separate breaker from your lights cause that would be tragic

edit: remember to put the a/c ABOVE the catch basin or you can flood your house!
