growing 4 citrus skunk in DWC and 4 CS in soil in a 5x5 tent 8 feet tall. the DWC are out of control, 14 days since flip 12/12. i am running out of space. the strongest has gone from 20 inches to 46 inches in 14 days. i have only got about 12 inches of room to raise the lights before i have to punch a hole in the ceiling. i have been tying down the tops on this monster. squeezing or crushing the stock then bend to the point of almost breaking the top off (supercropping??) but i am even running out of room laterally. they have been topped a couple of times and are quite bushy.

anything else i can do

smokey

note: friend growing same strain, since flip in soil gone from 7 inches to 32 in 21 days...... i think i am in trouble

20 to 46 inches in 14 days. You should be getting to the end of the stretch. I hope so for your sake. Check out a couple suppercrop videos on you tube to make sure you're doing it right. Keep them tied out to the side once suppercroped so they don't stand back up. With any luck it's done or almost done stretching and you can keep that 12" cushion for your lights.

I had the same problem with 7' tall plants going into bloom.

This was my solution:

1. Build a stand out of PVC pipe and put a cheap mesh garden fence over it with zip ties. Make an arch-shape with the fence and begin pushing it down over the plants. A little bending and breaking will not hurt as long as you repair any damage with some foam-covered garden wire.

2. Move your lights to the side of the plants and point them down at an angle to cover the plant from top to bottom with light. This can be more effective than lighting that points straight down and only covers the top of the plant.

Example shown in photo below. Three weeks into flowering. The scrog fence adds stability and something to support the heavy colas.
