I think my tent in a tent cloning / drying setup is genius!

I'll probably switch the setup because my prop tent keeps the humidity higher.

I rigged up a cardboard box dryer, taking the exhaust from my 1,000w HPS and running it into the bottom side of the box. I had three layers of bud drying and it only took two days and it was perfect. Getting double-duty out of your gear is always a good thing.

@potpimp,
I thought fast drying was not as good as slow drying?

(I have only dried 4 batches since I started)
Being essentially a noob, I have read that drying to quickly makes for a harsher bud?
Am I Wrong?
Being a Moderator I figure You must have your stuff together.

My bud is pretty harsh, but in a good way.

I try and dry at 65% RH for at least 4-6 days, then Buds go in Jars.
Burp every three days for 15 minutes.

After two weeks It seems cured pretty well.

Drying and curing are two different but similar things. Curing breaks down the chlorophyll and makes the smoke a lot smoother and flavorful. Drying just makes it *possible* to smoke. I cured mine (after drying for two days) for two weeks and the smoke was very enjoyable. I was in the process of moving and we actually held up the move for the harvest or I would have cured it longer.

Thanks for the response.
I still have Tons to learn.
I've flowered, dried and cured 2 plants from the same batch of bag seeds.
Both plants taste the same, the buzz is identical.
So is the Harsh lung hacking cough if you take in to much smoke.
I am pretty happy so far but I would love it if it was smoother.
I'm flowering the 3rd plant from the same bag of bud.
I don't know what it it other than a Sativa that flowers in 9 weeks.
I am hoping to get the harshness to at least be more mellow.
I think it it possibly do to over feeding Nutes.
It is the only variable that Is not a constant.
I'm using less Nutes with this plant, hopefully I can dial this weed in to perfection.
Bless,
DZ
