Outdoor Auto

I just want to first say I've never grown weed before but I've been reading up on it a lot lately and I'm getting ready to do an outdoor auto grow. I'm really eager to get my first grow started and learn from it so I can better future grows. I'm a little behind in the game so that's why I decided to grow autos. Well Ill just tell you what I got planned and I have some questions as well.

Preparation:

Seeds: I'm going to be getting a mix of seeds from short stuff seeds. I've heard of good results from there mi5, someone pulling almost 3 oz's of a plant. People have also been raving about Dr. Greenthumbs Iranian auto.

Soil:

Fox Farm Light Warrior(After seeds germinate)
Fox Farm Ocean Forest(After I transplant into bigger pot)

I've been searching online for a site that sells both these soils and I can't find one that has a decent price. The best price I found was $40 with shipping
. Does anyone know of a site or a better alternative then using these two soils? Or does anyone know if these are sold locally around the US?

Nutrients:

Fox Farm Grow Big(Will be using after I transplant into bigger pot). How frequently should I use when I'm water my plants?

Fox Farm Big Bloom- Will be using once plants start flowering. How frequently should I use?

Again if anyone knows of an alternative to these with a better price, I'd love to hear it.

Also plan on adding calcium if that's necessary??

Anything I'm missing here?

In Ground or in Pots?

I was planning on starting in party cups when my seeds were done germinating(Ill be germinating them in a water cup). I would be putting them indoors under a $20 shop light(All Season 4 Ft. 2 Light T8 Fluorescent Shop Light-1242ZG RE at The Home Depot) Then moving and transporting them into 3 gallon smart pots to the locations(Has anyone used these and will 3 gallon pots be enough for autos?). Would I be better off just planting them into the soil?

Plan:

I've been looking around the last couple of weeks for some spots that would produce a successful first grow. It didn't take me to long to find two spots that were within a 1/4 of a mile from each other. One spot is by a huge patch of weeds in an open field that gets sunshine all day long. Another spot gets around 10-12 hours of sunshine and is a perfect spot since its a nice clearing and hard to get to. Both spots are within a close stream water source.

One Issue: Getting equipment to the spot without looking suspicious. The spot isn't very far to where I'll be parked and its not in the open or anything, but it still feels sketchy bringing all that shit into the woods and hoping no one sees you. I plan on bringing equipment to dig small holes and buckets to water my plants. Then when I have everything ready I'll go ahead and transport the seedlings.

Second Issue: I live in warm climate that is already hitting the low 90's, how much do you have to water in each stages of your plant? I don't think Ive heard that talked a lot about except to water it when your soil is all dry.

This is all I have for now, Id love to hear feedback. I'll add more later as well. Peace

throw your stuff in a backpack or duffle bag. as for watering no more than every 2-3 days max. dont water everyday. put your figers in the ground a few inches if its wet dont water it. if its dry water it.

This might sound like a stupid question:lol: but how do you go about giving your plants nutrients if it already rained that day and you don't want to overwater?

Don't transplant the autos, with such a short life cycle any shock will greatly affect yields.... Put it straight into whatever will be it's final home and don't top them, LST if u want

Already did transplant and I had to go that route since there was no way I was going to be able to transport 5 gallon pots full of dirt to the location. Have a couple of other questions, I would appreciate if someone answered. All the plants seem to be doing well after the transplant, there all getting plenty of sun. There is just one problem, two plants are being effected by some bug who is eating the leaves. Have no idea what kind of bug but it was really small and was ghost white with some small black spots on it. How can I go about treating this?
