sweet, wish i had room to mess with breeding. right now im stretched for space.

one of these days ill mess around with it
if you have a spot around your house you can just hide a pot in a bush that constantly gets light, just take some pollen sacs and brush the lower buds or something like that.
lol im gonna have a male box eventually, just cfls though since they dont deserve to put a dent in my electric bill, im only gonna give them just enough light and train the shit out of them, this project that im doing now with the girl would save tons of space if i was doing indoors. i could have a box thats like 2 ft if it tied all of them around the rim of the pot, maybe i could even use t5s instead of a hps/mh.

its still cold out here, i have some bagseeds going maybe ill save some of that pollen. the bud i got it out of was fire. stoned to hell off 1 hit. maybe mix it with the BC and FD see what kind of offspring i get :)

was actually (just) thinking of grafting a entire bud onto the BC plant see what happens lol

maybe that will be tomorows project
shit by the time youll be able to tell their sex they can probably take the temps, ive had plants out on my balcony when it was 30 degrees in fl, the bud was looking purpler than grapes lol.
and if you breed them youve gotta get at least one fire pheno, if all their parents are pretty good you should come out with some good stuff, then do another cross with a male and female from the last batch and so on.
and grafting is cool idk if itd work great in flower though, i was thinking about looking into that pretty soon.
i was about to do it with other plants in my yard but im not too sure how itll work out. i have plenty of plants that have stems similar to weed, so theres gotta be a way.

well from what i understand it is used alot to make immature plants act as they were fully matured by grafting a fully matured plant onto a immature plant the immature plant would begin to respond as if it were as mature as the grafted plant.

if this is true then you could graft a flowering node onto a small seedling and find out sex much sooner than waiting the 5-7 week period in veg or the 3-6 week period (if 12/12 form seeds)

thats interesting, if you do it pm me or gimme a link to the thread if you do it

ill PM ya later gotta get setup for it and ill be grafting a blue cheese bud onto a OG kush in veg
please do that sounds like an incredible plant, og kush and blue cheese. you should try to reveg it after flower, that plant would be a shame to chop down completely. i wonder if the blue cheese branch would reveg as well if there was leaves on the og, that would be pretty sweet.

branches have made progression as well as the top node, overall shes probably an inch longer in total since yesterday, still giving her another couple days before i clone her, hopefully shes not an autoflower, the male i got from the same bag was an auto i think, it flowered right as soon as it hit 6", i sprinkled some of his pollen on the preflowers so maybe ill find a seed in a few months.
i did get my bontaicare samples today, i got ZHO root inocculant, hydroplex for later on in flower, pure granular grow formula(i got it cause it had high cal, i usually use worm castings/guano for veg.) and fulvex trace minerals just cuz.
and i got a good pic of the top node, theres little baby calyxs popping up all over her.

looking good, havent gotten around to my grafting project will let you know when i do :)
thanks matt, always glad to get some feedback. and for sure pm me when you do, the whole idea of grafting kinda gets me excited lol.
and i just bought these basils that have really similar stem structure as mj, might just do some experimenting since this girl gets branchy, might have some extra clones to play with this season.

more training, the top bud is getting a little bit bigger and some of the lower branches have stretches as far as 4" long, so my training is working exactly how i want it to. some of the higher nodes also have clusters of calyxs popping up.

looking good m8,

looked into grafting Mj and it dosent seem worth it, I guess the host plant wont take on any atributes of the graft and the graft wont take on any atributes of the host so its more or less just for show.

and very true, although it does seem like a new frontier for stealth growing, id love to have a grafted weed plant on one of my bushes outside, out here in fl you gotta try to grow as much in separate places so if one grow gets raided, you always got a backup.
and if you could graft a branch to a plant with a lot of root mass, i would expect yield to be impressive. ill try it out when i got a spare clone off my next mother, i feel like im gonna have an excess this year since i got a nice branchy pheno.

her flowers did also get fatter today, the calyxs just seem to be popping up out of nowhere. oh and she has the nice smell like the bag she came from, hopefully i can do this strain some justice and grow it organically, with the exception that im going to use hydroplex for my last 3 weeks of flower. ill post pics tomorrow, i woke up way late to be taking pictures, no lighting out there whatsoever.

im keeping my fingers crossed when i clone her, if shes an auto and i dont have another male(im regretting tearing him out now, but out here its best to keep your plant count down anyways, no reason to get a felony for a male) i guess im fucked, but the jet47 or cobra should be on the way, i will try to cross one of those males with her so i can carry on this strain. she has some attributes i look for, she has some tight nodes and i expect there to be some tight buds in the near future. im gonna plan on making a tarp this year since i got a really indica dom strain, hope shes mold resistant!

+Rep good to see you're doing Ice like me :D!
they didnt pop unfortunately, id love to see how that strain performs though. hows she runnin? and do you have a journal?

anyway, this bagseed is getting pretty impressive, started out with fat indica leaves but right now her new nodes are lookin pretty sativa. her preflowers are dense, even a hue of purple i noticed today. its like new calyxs pop up every day too. heres a pic, i guess im lucky with bagseeds. its like winning the lottery twice.
heres my last "lottery winning ticket" and my new bag seed. the difference is those pink hairs, thats a pheno that will be missed. i could even see the pink tint to the hairs when she had preflowers under my fluoros. however, some strains do have this characteristic and they're on the market, just gotta do some pheno hunting.

Oh wow those look amazing. So far my Ice hasn't come yet, already ordered but on day eleven since I did. Just germinated eight bagseeds to get some experience, was wise. Learned that setting up a vanity was no longer an option after I got shocked the first time haha. They started to stretch under only two 10 and 13 watt cfls (the six that made it) so I put in four 45 watt 6500K cfls I just got in the mail and ran into heat problems. Just put two fans in like an hour ago and waiting to see how that helps out, I'm steady around 88 degrees F right now but it seems to be going down. Humidity stays between 22-35%. Too paranoid that the cops will use the pictures to track me down :3, love reading journals though.

thanks for the props, its all luck i guess. i just grow out a couple bagseeds, sort out the males(or keep them if they're "alphamales" if you know what i mean). waiting for those pesky seedbanks can be so irritating, i feel like when im looking at seeds im just thinking "well, its gonna be a long time before you do me any good" lol. as soon as i got a good mother and a shit ton of clones, ill be a happy grower. with this strain, ill be fuckin ecstatic really. its more indica than my last purple strain, tighter calyxs, even the top preflower is dense after about 5-6 days of development.

and damn, you should post pics because of these problems, i could have helped you avoid some of that shit. always glad to give input if you need. and plants can grow under really high temps but its usually specific strains that do it well. id suggest staying at 80, if you need an a/c unit for flower, it'll be worth it. get an in and out fan, and try to make it so you know how the air is flowing in your room. hot air flows up, so an out fan towards the top is a good idea. training is the best thing you can do with cfls, without it only the top nodes get good lumens. if you can, keep them as close as possible. ive heard of people keeping them 3" away or so, other farther because of heat. same thing with hps, but some manage to get their lights as low as possible so they can get as much lumens to them as possible. so keep them low, maybe do what im doing or maybe some sort of scrog.

dont be afraid of the popo either, your name isnt traceable by a user name. if your afraid of them tracking IP tracing, reset you modem. the internet isnt a reason to make you suspicious either, someone could say they're a terrorist on here and theres nothing in the law that says thats evidence that he is. they wont schedule search warrants because of uploads, you can take any picture off the internet and say its yours.

I have a 1000 watt HPS coming in, I'm only using CFLs because they're cheaper to run 24/7 and cost less upfront. I already have two fans, put one up closer to the light and put it on exhaust but my temps aren't staying below 87 with the door open and I much prefer to have it closed. The major problem I have, that's constricting some of my options, is electrical capacity. The house is pretty old and I doubt it's been updated for a while. I really don't want to run like 4 lamps off a powerstrip attached to a light-bulb socket that has two 45watt lights on it. Granted I'm going to keep it under the 660 watt that's recommended on the y-splitters but I'll also be running a 1000 watt from another light-bulb socket plus all the stuff that runs regularly threw out the house. Just don't want to blow anything out or screw myself, already got scared trying to install a simply vanity there.

You going to mother the badseeds, I know it's a bit late but they were impressive lol.

whats the temp of the room? and that sounds a bit sketchy, i would use an extension cord over that.
and yeah, she might be an auto but im not sure yet. if she's a regular photoperiod, she should be clone-able so ill mother the clone. im getting my box set up tomorrow, i got a good 4 branches i can clone if im not mistaken. if not, im gonna harvest most of her then attempt to reveg her if its possible. or ill leave a bud, let her overflower and get some seeds.
