Put the journal up :) Well you can always wait till after you smoke some to make a decision too haha.

very true, i feel like any bagseed i grow will turn out better than the bag they came from, the bag was really good if i remember right. either way, im growing her organic(mostly) so the taste is usually excellent. but taste of smoke can be genetics and curing problems, and caused by salt buildup but theres a bunch to take into account really.
and great! ill be subbed and giving what advice i can.

Well it's probably because you're a superior grower tbh, doubt the guy that grew that stuff originally was just thinking about profit vs. cost if anything at all. Organic all the way, can't wait to roll up my first organic grow in a fat organic doobie :3 (now that I think about it, I should roll it in a leaf ahah)

ive always been told, even by my pops, theres no bad strains, just good growers, however you can get a total shit pheno sometimes.
the guy i got it from is probably still using miracle grow or something, and i completely know what you mean when you say they grow for profit, florida is known for real scam artists, ive gotten bud sprayed with coca cola if im not mistaken. oh well, at least now i can do her some justice now that shes in my hands, hopefully incorporate her into a strain since im liking this pheno, may her genetics live on, and be crossed with herijuana hopefully, then maybe if i still have the cross, ill bring in some autoflower genetics. i dont like ruderalis crosses usually for their low potency, but the auto gene is a real score for outdoor growers like myself.

and i'd try organic as soon as possible, its much easier than measuring your nutes, organics also benefit microbes so your roots will be supercharged with beneficials.
and funny you said that, i was gonna try that my first grow but never got to it, theres a way to make fan leaves joint papers but theres many processes you have to do if im not mistaken. maybe its something ill try this year, although raw papers are mostly hemp and beeswax im pretty sure, maybe ill just stick to them haha.

Really? I still use Miracle Grow :3. Someone I talked to from Germany said that over there they actually put metal shavings in their weed to affect the weight... I didn't realise we had it so good over here that's absolutely never even come close to happening (besides some dumbass buying tin foil once lmao). Oh I didn't know you actually needed to do stuff to it, I was just going to keep some from when I cure. What do you think about the different-day harvesting. Taking the fat-ass fully developed buds and leaving the underdeveloped ones to grow for a few more weeks before you chop them up. Doesn't the gene that actually causes the autoflowering also reduce potency? Heard that on grasscity a few weeks ago. How do you get away with growing outdoors in Florida o.0

organic choice is probably the only product of theirs i would use. and that sounds odd, i would want to be smoking that even though roots only suck up really broken down material. and i think you just need to dry them. id let mine sit in some bho i whipped up from the harvest.
and i try to train them so all of the buds will finish towards the same day, ill let the bottoms run for a week if im growin em out without training.
and the auto genetic doesnt cause anything except the plant flowering under longer times, but thats not the first piece of bad advice thats come from grasscity lol.
i like that idea because if you had an auto that was going to finish in a 100 days, you eliminate need for a light timer, and your plant can photosynthesize for more than 12 hours. and if you made a hybrid with a potent strain, you will get certain phenos that exhibit certain characteristics, so if i was breeding under 18/6, this would make all the autos flower and the ones that dont flower wont be in my F2.
eventually, with backcrossing with the photoperiod mother and crossing only the autoflowering variety, you would isolate the gene that causes autoflowering, but keeping all the desired traits of the other photoperiod if enough backcrossing would be done(i would keep crossing it with the same clone probably, im gonna hunt for the old herijuana pheno i saw a few years ago, really colorful indica with insane looking hairs, and super dense).
and growing in fl is a chore, gotta always watch the forecast, use mediums that let air always travel through/poke holes. you gotta be meticulous.

Nice pics! I just mean in general, I know over in my state we have ridiculous density even in the suburbs so getting away with outdoor growing is like impossible.
I can't wait to start playing with genes. Have you heard good things about Blue Mystic? I know on the seller's site they say it's suppose to have a relatively mild odour.

Cool thread, I am learning alot..subbed!
bush grows man, they're the answer to all ya problems. most will expect that bush grows arent stealthy, but youd be amazed how many times ive sat in my back yard, 5 feet away from the plants in flower. it was the pre98 bubba x trainwreck a few years ago, there was a heavy stench but everyone just thought it was the bag i brought out
and actually yes, an ol friend of mine grew it and all of them hermied out unfortunately, still great bud though. super stinky, super couch lock. just super baked really, the stench was sweet and minty-ish, its almost impossible to describe the smell. despite the fact it was hermie bud, it was very potent, i was gonna ask him for a seed or 10 lol, bush grows dont cost me shit when i transplant into the ground, or use my compost packed with worm castings and guano, composted black kow, leaves, some organic choice from a few years ago if im not mistaken, ive had it composting since last season. i always compost miracle gro, that stuff isnt good for weed plants if you got slow release nutes or really hot nutrients.
and good to see another person subbed cindysid, welcome.

Finally subbed, figured it out xP.

Really? I thought the time-release would be good for weeds, since you can just water the plant at first and let that do its magic and then boom when it has a stronger internal structure it can take the nutes and actually start using them productively. Damn stinky bud D:, was going to experiment with Ice and Blue Mystic to try and get a low-smell flowering plant. But the pictures look good, and the taste of bud is like a 3rd of the experience to me. God I love getting high off a smooooothhh ass blunt, one of the best most relaxing feelings in the world. How long you figure until we get a personal review on the product? ;)

the idea is great but a plant doesnt need that many slow release nutes, itll burn them if the roots are spreading out to too many of the nute balls. id just say put guano at the bottoms of your pot when you transplant, i started in a 5 gal so ill be feeding her through my waterings with compost tea, im using bontaicares granular grow for them, its organic so im good with it. and ice x blue mystic, thats probably out there if you look on seedfinder. and theres ways to mask the smell, foliar sprays, flowers, etc, just too lazy to do it. you want your plant to blend in as much as possible, so putting flowers around your stealth grow might not be the best idea.
and ill smoke a blunt every once in a while, i like raw papers or one of the bongs i got at my house.
and who knows, shes flowering now but she might revert in a little, this has happened to me before except she stretched when she revegged. but, if anything ill have her huge by the end of summer, hopefully ill be training her in another ridiculous fashion hahahaha maybe in a knot. worth a try right?

took a cutting last night as well as today, and put them in under my table outside. my table lets some light travel through though because its like thick plastic. i let one of them get hit by the sun on accident, she withered for about a half hour and then went back to normal. will take some pictures soon, maybe tomorrow or the day after. shes really perked up now, watered her with a few drops of fulvex, zho and a drop of superthrive. i also used some of the granular bloom. thanks bontaicare.
and her top bud is getting a little bit fatter, they're really tight little buds but they're a nice dark purple color. like this strain, its gonna have some bag appeal. hopefully i can get one of them pollinated soon, i hate clone only strains, i gotta have some beans to fall back on just in case. any suggestions for a good strain for males? i was thinkin herijuana but dont know if im gonna order seeds yet, and its almost impossible to decide which strain i should get from sannies, they all look impressive.

I know you had a bad experience with them but Ice is where it's at 8)

It's only been a day so I haven't even checked them. Just going to let them lie there another day, better to let them be. I figure you have some time before you make your decision, so you'll eventually see how they are young for me at least.

if they're just seedlings you dont have much to worry about but i used to always be afraid of my lights goin out n shit so id check my room every 4-6 hours, but now im outdoors, and she can pretty much fend for herself.
also, i didnt know you could take weed clones and have em root outdoors, i put them out there and they seem like they're rooting rather than withering. they only get about 13 hours of light, but they're still lookin fine. just cant let them get hit by sunlight is all.

just took off two of the flowers under the top node, they smelled like berries dipped in sweet sugar. theres already small trich development already too some of the leaves even had a few crystals on them. this is the sweetest plant ive ever smelled, i havent smelled anything that smells more like fresh berries. i see myself having a future with this strain, and am for sure gonna breed it. will have pictures tomorrow, i forgot to take some today.

so shes reverting back to veg im pretty sure, theres been some new leaf growth and ive been feeding her high N, well more than i was, but its fine since im using organics. she got attacked by a caterpillar im pretty sure, not a huge problem although. he seemed to like the leaves that were sort of insignificant, but i got my good ol marigold/garlic/canola spray so i shouldnt have any pests for about 3 days i estimate. i gave her some more water, as well i did on the 10th. she dries up really fast since i poke those holes, but the more feedings i can fit in without overwatering, the better. i also took some clones, i didnt take pics for some reason but they're about 3 days old, still kickin though. ill take off their dome on day 6 or 7 since they only get about 13 hours of indirect light. but heres the girl, its gonna be impossible to wait till august though, may get a hps or and LED if i have to. just need the money for a box/tent and a light. maybe i could use like 6 40w cfls in y splitters, then train the clones to grow in a circle around the bulbs much like how im training this girl to grow around the pot. all ideas, no intention of doing so, but its fun to think about how i could get by with flowering one of these, the bud smelled so great and the trichs looked nice already. its like baking a cake and wanting to eat it all the time

but heres the pics, the flower got bigger and the hairs were longer on some of the lower nodes, as well as one of the branches that is now about 6" long and growing, it goes out into the center of the pot, so i think ill keep it and let it go as my center cola in the middle of the circle, itll be surrounded by other little buds as well since ill leave a couple of her branches once shes stretched.
