A week or two, unprotected. I've had success after freezing it for six months,

BUT

Some strains of pollen didn't hold up for six months.
apreaciate ya.. i hope my pollen works its just been stored pretty unprotected for a few weeks.. i fucked up and killed the male bc i wanted the pot for another plant. but im now realising i shoulda let it live and collected more fresh pollen. oh well, live and learn. im throw that shit inthe freezer hopefully it will raise any lil chance i have of it still working

Sounds good, is this your first outdoor breeding? How far north are ya
I live in southern Maine, but its been getting warmer and warmer over the last couple of years so I think the plant would have enough time to ripen the seeds... Whats your opinion?
Edit: Yea this is my first time breeding

I just wanna ask if any of you guys have any tips for taking clones from outdoor plants. Would any of you know what the best time to take cuttings would be dawn or dusk? One other question is how long can my cuttings be the stems be soaking in water before damage or reason for cuttings not taking root would occur?

I wanna take a few cuts from this very berry mandala1 the problem is it is a half hour from home, before I can get the plants in rockwool.

It would be best to take the cuts at dusk and keep them in the dark for the rest of the night. That helps to avoid any wilting.

They will stay perky in the water / cup for many hours if they get no light.

One thing to watch out for is pests. Last year I brought some cuts inside and mites came in with them.

An inoculation / spray for bugs and fungi would be a good idea.

Well I was checking things out this morning and I have white heads starting to appear, but my males have yet to throw out any pollen sacks. Is this a reason to be concerned?

well I cut down my CM male this morning and have 3 bowls with the bottoms dusted in yellowish pollen. So I guess I need to know if that pollen will be alright if I just leave it at the bottom of the bowls and use it this weekend. without freezing it or anything? thanks
