A bit of a thread resurrection (my apologies)...
Just saw this how-to for a 'Hydroponic Bog Garden'. In practice it looks to be an outdoor bubbleponics system.
I was thinking though... if one had access to a mountain stream to use for oxygenated water (especially if there is whitewater or small waterfalls) - a channel could be diverted from the stream to a smaller-scale bog garden. Would just have to build the smaller version of the bog garden slightly down-hill from the stream so gravity and nature would take over the part where they use an electric bubbler...

Edit to add: Mainly I just thought this might be a cool thing to add on to a water or koi pond if you can grow in the backyard. I could see multiple useful scenarios for the information... I'm just not in a personal position to be able to experiment with a bog garden yet. Maybe someone else can use the information though.
