outdoor dry box?

hi guys, first post on this forum and im looking for some opinions. im planning on a small guerilla grow this season of 4-8 plants and my only concern is where i am going to dry the plants after harvest. i live in southern ontario and it's pretty hummid sometimes.

i was thinking about building an outdoor drying box. has anyone ever tried this before? im thinking out of plywood with all the edges sealed with caulking or something and then buying one of those little $30 dehumidifiers that apparently don't need batteries or any other power source inside the box over top or near any ventilation holes i have in it.

as far as hiding it i was thinking about making it high up in a tree in the middle of a forest or even underground in a hole or something. so does anyone think it could work or is it absolutely crazy? i really have nowhere i could dry it indoors so im trying to find another way. if this definatly wouldn't work then does anyone have any suggestions for how i should dry it?

any thoughs on this would be greatly appreciated. cheers

its all a good idea but your going to need a little more ventilation even with the dehumidifier
you dont want stale air in there so an indirect fan might help

ok, so assuming i was going to be drying about 8 plants, what dimension of box would you recomend for it and how many/big should i make the holes in the box for ventilation?

also, any ideas on the best kind of fan to use as far as low energy and a power source as i won't be able to get any sort of power lines to it or anything. batteries would run out of power pretty quickly i would think. i'm thinking perhaps a larger sort of wind turbine blade on top (assuming i put it in a tree) with a direct drive to a smaller lightweight fan which would make it spin at a decent enough speed to get enough air circulation?

The humidity in the South US is VERY high, but tobacco farmers has been drying for a few years. Check out how they do it.

hang it on branches and throw a tarp over them but let them get a breeze as well.
