But one thing that I am happy to brag about when it comes to outdoor growing is the sun=free $.99 and the high yeilds - requiring that you have optimal amount of direct sunlight per day.

Yes flush it out especially if you use chem ferts.

this is my first year actually putting forth time and effort into this i had 5 plants that were 9ft tall that were all killed due to bad placement on my part and the landowner moving his deer stand but all in all i have one plant left that was my runt i just started flushing it last week with just water and everything has been going good so far ill post a couple pics tommorow, but along with the water i am giving it molasses so that any nutes lefts in the dirt are helped being absorbed into the plants

you are couter productive in what your doing. Dumping Molasses on your plants close to harvest is a bad idea. It has calcium and magnesium and stuff in it, that the plant takes up. Your essentially feeding your soil all over again!PLAIN WATER till your leaves start fading is all you need to do in the ground.

sorry bout the pics its shitty weather today in michigan but this is my last plant, that didnt get poisioned but as far flushing with molasses ill just use plain water and hold off on it the last time it had molasses was last week so hopefully it turns out ok and thanks wheezer i would have never thought of it like that

hummmm...how about for the same reasons you would flush an indoor grow...yes you would think it would be pointless to flush an outdoor plant...but im guessing you have never had to flush an outdoor plant...because its a must, just as with indoor....you just have to use much much more water...i use 10gal of water per plant to do a flush...over a 30mins time period....outdoor plants can get the same problems as an indoor plant can have

How about using the correct balance of nutrients to soil to begin with?. I don't have to flush an outdoor in-ground plant. You know why?, b/c the only time I had to correct an in-ground imbalance was due to me overfeeding with molasses. Flushing is a corrective measure to be used after you fuck something up previously.

ok so as i am a newb at this and since this is my only plant i want to come out as best as possible but if i understand right there is no need to flush an outdoor plant, so if that is the case will i still be good to give it nutes as long as there is no N in there? and as far as over doing molasses how much is too much?

just because we say you don't really need to "flush" it, doesn't mean to dump motre nutes on. You can get salt build up in soil, just like hydro or anything else. It's all about feeding properly. Your plants should be turning yellow as they mature, meaning the nutes are running out, which is what you want. But, you don't want that to happen with 2 weeks left to go....get it??

oh no im not talking more nutes into it but yet give it all i can so that i can get the max out of it, ive seen with some brands it says to use all the way to harvest and ive just been wondering about it and yes i was also thinking the same thing ford442 just give it water to finish out with and the taste would be cleaner taste wheresas i feel with nutes it may leave a funny taste in buds

also i would say that about 50%of my leaves are mostly purple now does that have any bearing on readiness of the plant?
