outdoor grow oregon

Hi everyone I am looking to start a outdoor grow in my backyard I currently live in northern Oregon. I have a few strains I plan on trying out for my first outdoor grow.

Subcool-qrazy train
Dna-chocolope
bomb seeds-Medi#2
Sensai- super skunk
Mandella seeds- far out

has anyone tried or had experience growing these strains outdoors in the NW? Any advice or help would be appreciated I am a newb when it comes to outdoor growing. also is there any other strains you would recommend?

they will all grow great with good sun, soil, nutrients, and care.

My biggest concern is going to be the chance of bad weather so I need a.plant that is going to be resilient also was wondering if it would be better to make my own organic compost with worm castings etc or is there an organic soil I can purchase with all the essentials in it? Sorry if it's a dumb question I only have experience growing hydroponic so the outdoor grow is all kind of new to me.

Don't put your plants out too early otherwise you risk frost or premature flowering. Late may, early june is a good bet for Oregon IMO. There are many soils with the essentials but most bagged soil really only has the nutrients for a month or two. Stoking up a bagged soil is a good way to go, look up super soil recipes- tom hills mix is a good simple one. If you're looking for good yield my best advice is to look for fast flowering Sativa dominant hybrids (9-10 wks). Haze crosses are a good start, SSH, Blue Dream, etc. Indica doms flower quick but those fat nugs really want to mold in the humid Oregon fall. My last advice is to get a greenhouse.

thanks for the advice. What breeders would you recommend for quality and price? after doing some more research I decided to try that Tom hills mix, do you know if foxfire soil is a good substitute for black gold? The nearest town is over an hour away and I know they carry foxfire but not blackgold. I was going to do a greenhouse but because of budget i think at this time it will just be cheaper doing it ths way and i really dont have to worry about rippers or pigs as i live out in the country and our property is surrounded by electric fence and trees aalso the area I chose to grow in is surrounded by a fence and gate so hopefully I'm animal proof. if the weather gets real nasty what's the best way to keep the plants safe aside from greenhouse ive read a few methods such as garbage bag or using a big bucket to grow so u can easily transport but I was planning on them being in the ground so they get bigger was also think of maybe just setting up a tarp so if need be I can quickly lcover. Does anyone have any other methods that are effective?
