Outdoor grow question

So I am planning on growing outdoors this year (09) and I checked the soil where I am going to be growng and it is all mud because the area sometimes floods when it rains for awhile. So I am going to be planting in potts and was wondering what a good size pot is and a good soil substrate to use is.
Thanks for any and all help

See Marijuana Growing Guide, Greensmanpage & Dirt Doctor.com, for starters. My 5 Gal. black Nursery Pots (which is NOT actual 5 Gals) backed the root system in the Texas Sun. Actual 5 Gal. buckets is fine for smaller plants. They are highly visible, a skirt of cammo is needed. 1/2 whiskey barrels would be great, or the big clay pots like FDD has. Two in the plastic 30 gal storage containers for $10 may work, also. Hide them well from around & above. For soil, check out what's available for free in your area. Rabbit, cow manure, organic compost, etc. Good Luck.

Depends on how big you are planning on growing the plants. I'm thinking of doing a spring flowering of clones outside and I'll only be using 1 gallon grow bags with a 50/50 soil/soiless mix. SoTex already pointed out the easiest places for specific info on soils.

My little girls will probably be in trees. again, like Sotex said, make sure they can't be seen from the air. That being said, if you live in the northern hemisphere, the sun will come from the south, even on the solstice. This means if you can put ur plants UNDER other foliage and get full sun and not be seen (easily anyway) from then air.

good luck
