Outdoor Grow Questions

Alright, so this year im planning on starting an outdoor grow, i have some questions and this seems like a good place to have them answered

-how long can seeds be kept before they are no longer suitable for growing, also, do they depreciate from light or anything like that, should i store them in film canisters or something?

-is the scent of weed dispersed well outdoors? this is going to be a guerilla grow and the spot where im probably going to have my site is like 400-500 feet away from houses

-what is a water table?

-is a fence absolutely necessary? i read something about a fishing line being hung like 3 and a half feet off the ground and that it will keep deer from getting into your shit

-whats the best and safest method to sprout seeds so that they wont die within the first few weeks of being outside? i would do the first few weeks inside and then move them out to my site but i live with my parents

-is the paper towel method effective and do i plant the seeds so that the white tail thing is pointing down into the soil or upwards? is there anything i can do to ensure that the germinated seeds actually grow instead of just dying?
(i read something about using potting soil to help a germinated seed get a good start by putting a little bit of soil under the plant once it sprouts to protect the roots, but i dont remember where i read it or if im right about what i remember, so if you could elaborate that would be awesome)

-are there any methods i can use so that i will get the biggest yield and highest quality out of my weed, ive heard of trimming methods so that more nutrients can be focused into the buds and not watering the plant for the last few days before harvest, are these methods legitimate and is there any other shit i could do?

-how much should i water and how often? i was thinking 2-3 water bottles full at a time and watering it like 2-3 times a week but i dont really know

-when is the best time to plant the seeds? i was thinking between april 20 and may 5th, leaning more towards april 25th
i want to plant as soon as i possibly can but i also dont what to damage my plants or sacrifice the yield/quality by starting them outside way too early in bad conditions or anything

-since i live with my parents, i was thinking i could cure them in a tent that i have, and just put the tent somewhere in the woods, that would work right?

thanks to anybody who answers

seeds - they can be kept for months, but not years

scent - different strains smeel different amounts, but you don't need to worry about that until flowering from my experience..

a water table is your steady source of water - or else it means the level of the ground water beneath the surface..

fencing is pretty darn important - a little wire cage will not only keep deer from munching them off - but also when the plants get bigger and rain whomps them down - the fence will keep their branches off the ground..

sprouting - you can get the sprouts in some soil - then cover them with like a soda bottle cut in half - a clear plastic shell of some kind - with air holes...
it doesnt really matter how you plant them - tap root down is technically correct.. and yes - a wet paper towel will work as well as anything soft and damp...

the best thing you can do to insure a big harvest - make sure they have as much direct sunlight as possible.. trimming fan leaves can help in some situations, but i dont recommend it.. there is 'lollypopping' when you totally remove the smaller, lower limbs - but, that may be just for advanced growers who know what to expect...

watering depends on if you are using pots or going right into the ground - in the ground they only need water every 1 - 2 weeks - but, in pot they need it almost every day - especially when they get big or if you use absorbant potting soil.. when you do water - give them at least gallon or two - i know from a lot of experience that plants don't like it when you tease them with just a little water - roots will start reaching up.. it's never good..

late april/early may is a perfect time to start for most of north america..

the tent sounds like a pretty good plan so long as you're sure it wont be checked out by neighbors...

sorry if these are not the best answers.. it might be easier if you go one subject at a post...

hmm.. i've been reading about that just recently..
i believe the answer is yes - it can, but it is more of an advanced grower technique - i would be worried about screwing up and breaking them or something.. also - i don't have that much room for them to spread out..

i go as far as topping - where you pinch off a bit of the top when it's around 2' tall - forcing it to make a second big cola branch.. kind of the same principle.. depends on how far you want to take the idea,,,

also now that i think about it - how would you keep the buds off the ground? it would take some serious doing..

tying a plant up i think is a more reasonable idea - if they have supports to keep them off the ground and keep them from breaking it really helps.. i learned that this year.. next year i think it'll be wire cages all around...

You put them in jars after they dry and just open them every day and move the buds around a lil then put the top back on
you do this for like 2 weeks

also when the plants are babys use fish emulsion fertilizer at 1/4 strength this helps a ton

i don't know - i would be kinda worried about moisture outside..

you can just put them in a bag or a pillow case or something in a closet or somewhere.. as long as they dry uniformly - you don't want them all smashed down and trapping moisture among them, but hanging is not absolutely necessary..

dry for about 1 week then when you bend a stem and it snaps - it's time to go into mason jars...

there is a way of getting massive yields you must train arms bend arms down when plant is small top out plant at about 7 nodes high new arms will come wait till these arms are about 7 nodes long top them out more arms will come in the meantime pick lower tips coming on arms will will realease growth homones to incourage arms to grow long but you need to keep repotting plants into big pots i flower in 200 ltr pots build my self only ever do one plant my record is 57oz indoors under 4 600s
