Outdoor grow with grow bags

Hey guys my first grow is gonna be in the spring and plan to grow outdoors. Im gonna dig holes and drop grow bags in the ground. If I have one plant in each bag should I get 5 gallon or 10 gallon bags? I dont want the roots to run out of room. Not sure if a 5 gallon would be enough. Im growing indicas so they shouldnt get too big. :leaf:

10 gallon definitely. Though if you're tight on money for soil, just use 5 gal. Remember though that more soil = bigger plant = more yield :)

yeah that makes sense. Go big or go home as they say. Thats gonna be a lot more soil. Especially with 8 or 9 plants.

Go as big as you can! less watering up front and bigger plant. It's a bit longer of a grow outdoors so a bigger container helps. but a 5 gal will do.

When I grow outdoors I dig 3'x3' holes and fill them with good soil, that way the roots never run out of room.

I just dont wanna spend a shit load more money on more soil and then have my dam plants turn into useless males or hermie on me. I think my expectations are too high but Im hoping that all 9 of my plants turn into big, sexy, gorgeous babes without hiddin balls, lol. I was thinking about the idea mentioned above about just digging holes and filling with soil but I wasnt sure if that had any disadvantages to it.

I might give that a try. I was thinking the bags would protect everything a lil more. That was what I was gonna do to begin with just dig holes and fill with soil. I might go that route. Save me some money on buying bags.
