Its one of the many course selections in UCSB and even though its labeled as an astrology class once we got past names and dates it was pretty much an astronomy class. Hope that makes sense, its hard to put into words.

"learn about stuff"?... really? he's quoting scientific based information while you quote prophesy from a holy book written by MEN, not God. Perhaps you should take your own advice, learn about stuff that is not in the Bible & expand your world of information beyond the Bible. The Bible is a great guideline for morally upright citizenship, but by no means is it or the Book of Revelations the world's timeline reference manual. Please do not take this as an afront to you or your beliefs, I consider myself a Christian that utilizes the Bible for keeping on the right track of being a decent, forgiving & loving human. I do not take everything in the Bible "word for word" or that any of it came directly from God tho. I am not intending to be mean or harsh, just pointing out a differant view for you to possibly consider...

That He would reveal Himself to any and all whom come to Him.
He would not refuse any whom seek. He also taught not to argue with people or resist anyone who doesnt believe Gods word.
JESUS said, "NO ONE can come to the Father but by me." " and NO ONE can come to the SON unless the Father draws him."
Also: "The god of this age (Satan) has blinded the hearts of nonbelievers in order that they cannot see."
All I know is: I sought God with all my heart to find out why Jesus, who is supposedly the 1st begotten son of God, was tortured so badly after watching the Passion of the Christ by Mel Gibson. As I was reading, it all became so clear and I finally could understand what was written in the book. I couldnt get it when I was a kid. It was just neat stories. Now, as an adult, and being a rebel and an outlaw my whole life, I was touched in the deepest part of my heart and I wanted to not be like this world and the people in it. I wanted nothing to do with this life since I was a kid because the evil in people didnt make any sense to me. The pain and hurt people wanted to put on me for no reason at all. It seemed the devil himself entered into people and attacked me physically and mentally. After seeing what they did to a perfect man, Gods perfect representative in the flesh, Jesus, I understand what the world does to God. What they do to perfection. It gets soiled. Like Mudvane sang. SOILED!
The whole world is soiled and God wanted His Son Jesus to be born from the Holy Spirit through a woman to be the First Begotton Son of God to be the perfect sacrafice for all mankinds sin and to end the seperation from God. Because of sin, death entered the world, and Satan is now the god of this age. Jesus's death on the cross was Gods wrath poured out on sin itself as Jesus, whom knew no sin, became sin for us, in the place of sinfull man.
Now I was able to recieve the Holy Spirit and be born again from the Spirit of God. Now I understand the wisdom of God and I understand His word perfectly because the Holy Spirit teaches me directly in my heart and mind how to be Holy. How to love and forgive others that frustrate or harm me. when I pray I can feel God. Ive felt warm hands press on my shoulders as the heaviness of Gods glory pressed into me. Then love like no other Ive experienced flooded my spirit and heart and it was like a spring of life breaking forth through the darkness. I was renewed, refreshed, born-again. No words can explain it. Its something that God invites us all to experience for ourselves. Some people just harden there hearts to Love and Forgiveness and refuse to seek God. Its not our job to convince anyone. It is our job to love those that dont believe as much as those that do. If someone wants to hear it then I have answers. If they dont want to hear it then dont force it on them.
