Has anyone ever made an outdoor hydro setup?

i am imagining a suspended clone in a pot. nutes and water in the bottom. pot sealed in black plastic.

evaporating water would nute the roots.

might the roots get too hot?
maybe a small amount of root ventilation.

yah, the fuckin chinese love it... here we reserve the heady hyrdo setups for growing pot.. over there they grow tomatoes

i know they use it for tomatoes.
