The seed used were L.A. Confidential, of what variety I am not sure.

In the past couple of weeks, there has been a significant amount of precipitation from rainfall, also increased cloudiness and a decrease in tempreture; however all plots are well drained...

The soil composition is clay and rock (fractured karst) with 2" of loam on top. Some specimen are in 4-5" of good top soil (a good amount of it being organic)

Holes were 18" in diameter and 15" deep. Soil pretreated with bifenthrin granules and slow release 13 13 13 thus little chance of excess nitrogen..

Average direct sunlight 5-6 hours mid day plus additional 2-4 hours of intermittent light.

Started indoors mar 12 3 -5s day sprout, full sun 8 hours until transplanted..

First wilt may 20, 2 speciman... may 27th 1 dead 3 in serious condition, also two more at remote plot affected

Any Ideas ?

Maybe its the strain not handling the sun's intensity this time of year plus the outdoor elements ,some strains are a bit soft and die outdoor.
