outdoor soil issue, please help out.

The scenario is this they are planted in native soil, Never fertilized, and the sun has been really intense for the last week or so, and has been watered corretly.

I grew 5 back here last year and they were giants, although those plants also had weird issues, they turned the blackest purple I had ever seen, and also some of the plants started growing "ball like growth with the plant leads" um.. the tops while vegging started growing on top of each other, very very tight, is that called tacoing? um...is was like the new growths did not want to open?.. I quess that is the best I can tell you about last years plants

Anyway here are the pics.. please help with a remedy,what can I do to the soil?
The plants on the bottom are not the same as top but same spot.

Well where did you see the purple at on the stem or on the leaves. You said the soil is native rite. you have to add some nute but do it by lil by lil and just c how it affects it.

I see the purple on the stems, and yes it is native soil. I will start giving small amounts of ferts to see were that takes me.

I have heard sum strains hv purple stems and leaves and the other i heard is that it indicates that poor nutrient supply or root system disease/damage. I would just do want u think is rite Remember Weed is a strong plant so you can easily fix the problem.

If you can't just swap in some nicer soil with perlite in it, try bubbling a fish tank oxygen bubbler in a big thing of water for a day and water your plant with your nutrient solution in that. That soil looks packed and poorly aerated and in my opinion the best thing you can do for it is to give its roots some much needed oxygen.

You can also aerate the soil around the plant by tilling it the way you would a garden, being careful not to disturb the plant's roots overmuch.

Well it is a nutrient issue, read about last year "up above" the growths growing too tight. Make no mistake when these plants are done they will be monsters if I fix the problem or not... I just wanna figure out if they are receiving too much of a certain thing or not enough??
