Outdoor Stretching. What will be the end result?

if you find a way that works just stick with it and master it then improvise from there
I also like supercropping. I'm using that, too, but very gingerly and sparingly (as I learn). I really enjoy that because you don't need special tools and it's not as hard on the plant as pruning is.

Yes......plus you don't have to waste valuable plant material like when topping.

I HST......fuck LST too much time wasted imo. I could be smoking more weed with all the time I would be spending tying branches down and making adjustments.. but everyone has their own personal preference
yeah, you could use HST if you have plenty of veg time to work with because it will stop growth for a couple of days while it repairs the affected area.

Wow. Thanks everyone for all your insight. I am gonna use LST on my girls today. I'm gonna do the tie-down version because I have no tomato cages on hand. But yeah, thanks for all the valuable advice. I wish I had asked this earlier in the month, because supercropping sounds like a great technique, too.

You can tie down to the pots or if you don't have pots, put a few stakes around the plants. Kabob skewers work great and are easy to stick into the ground when the ground is hard. Use plant wire or string to tie to the loop on the skewer. Do pull them too hard all at once, you can always pull a bit more in a couple of days.

or just tie them to a cinder block.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna use screws around the lip of the buckets. I found a "how to" guide on another forum through Googling LST. This seems to be easier for me. It says to use slip knots on the screws so I can adjust them when needed.

So, where I live, we are into flowering time, and let me tell you what. These babies have filled out really great. I've since moved into town and my babies are deep under cover in the woods behind my inlaws house. They gave me the thumbs up on my grow, and nobody gets on their land (there's nobody around for miles, lol), so my babies are doing excellent. I've fed them their bloom nutes twice now and HOLY CRAP! There's no question about stretching now. They are looking superb! Even the clones I put out the last couple weeks before flower time are looking nice. Both are about a foot tall and they have nice colas coming in. So, I must once again thank everyone for the good advice that helped me help my girls. I can't wait til October. I'm gonna have some super strong G13 to smoke, and I know my friends will be jealous. And by then, I should have my vaporizer. I'm gonna toke up in appreciation for all y'all! Anyways, just wanted to post an update and a big THANK YOU! Keep them green thumbs green, and happy growing!
