I found a seed a few different times in bags of Juicy Fruit. I never, ever see seeds in weed i get from this guy. I am in Florida too on the east coast. I planted one seed inside and it sprouted quickly.
I dug a hole outside and filled it with good dirt and transplanted my little plant outside. One week later it is look healthy. If it does not survive, no big deal. It is December here now and I will see what happens.

This one died a few weeks after this post. Some critter stuck it's nose under it. I replanted it and it tried to survive for a few days until it got windy.
I have another seed from the same bag and it's also got 3 blade leaves. It's in a pot and will be cared for appropriately.

pot.jpgHere we are 30 days later. Can anyone tell me if there is anything needed at this point? Trimming or topping, nutrients, bigger container. It is a girl, right?
Thanks

Looking good. I would transplant at this point to its final resting spot. trimming and topping depends on you. say if you want it to bush out, have multi colas, or grow like a xmas tree. all that depends on security, space, prefence, and all that. Far as the nutes go the plant looks a little light in color probable could use some Nitrogen so i would go ahead with giving it veg nutes as well. Still the plant looks good. Keep it up and good luck!

Thanks for your input.
I don't know if I can find a spot to plant it in the ground, if I do find a spot i would want to keep it short i suppose.
To keep it short where do I chop it at?
How tall do you suppose it will get if i do not chop and keep it in this same container?
Can I give it the same organic food i give to my tomato plants? My tomato plants look really great with this food.

Hi from SW Alabama right on the Florida line. Also growing bag seed outside with my tomatoes. Seedlings are about 2-3 inches high in peat pots for the moment. I am a REALLY low budget grower limited in how much I grow and height of plant(s). Likewise, I will follow your thread as any advice you receive may be helpful.

I'll start at using the same container question. If you were to keep this plant in that same pot without letting it root out the bottom, I believe it could still get three times in size or larger when its all said and done with, but I doubt it would top 5 ft in height. That just my opinion, everybody's entitled to there own. If you were to top it. I would use the fimming method here -->And for the nutes just keep using the same they should be fine just wanna make sure they're higher in N then P and K. Once it starts to flower I'd change to something that is higher in P and K then N. Keep it organic and you should be good to go.

Hey there Swalabama :eyesmoke:

I have yet to grow a pot plant to fruition. My last attempt I though I was close. I was really proud that I kept it a secret moving it out to the patio, and in the house, and out in the back yard.
I Posted a picture up here and was patting myself on the back for a job well done, when the other members here told me it was a male. So I hope this is my first success.

Hi all. My 3 plants are 5 weeks old tomorrow and look okay to me but what do I know? My area just had 6 inches of rain Wednesday and Thursday of this week and while the plants were under cover and not receiving any of this rain directly, it has been a very wet couple of days. The peat pots are wet and should dry out tomorrow as we are forecast sunshine and no rain. They stand 4 or 5 inches now and show definite Sativa like leafage. I wish the seeds were some type of Indica but what can you do when using bag seed? The tomatoes that live next to my plants are doing great! Thanks for the diagram aseboy101. I will attempt a picture tomorrow.

Pics of 5 week old seedlings that live outside 24/7 in SW Alabama climate. Soil is mix of yard dirt and Miracle Grow Garden Soil For Flowers/Vegetables Nit 0.15 Phos 0.05 Potash 0.10. I plan to feed with Miracle Grow Water Soluable All Purpose Plant Food 24-8-16. These are in peat pots until root bound then the plan is to move to a 5 gallon bucket for the duration. Any help/suggestions/advice would be welcome.

Your plants have gotten big! Nice job! I would say they about to out grow their pots and would consider transplanting them into a larger container or even the ground.

oh boy..... it's going to be a long summer. I have only one marijuana plant, and a jalapeno and tomato plant too. I don't want to put it in the ground. Sometimes I find it necessary to put in the house. I''ll get a bigger container for it. thank you for your help.
