Looking good, keep it up. It looks like a nice place where you're growing at. I have a lot of respect for you guy's that don't have the luxury of being really close by. I've been in your shoes before, the rewards do taste that much sweeter though.

How much wind can a plant take? Hurricane Arthur looks like its hitting my area as a tropical storm and im not sure what to do.

Yeah I wish I had a spot to go in closer I have to drive a hour away jus to go check on them I top them two time not an they are still not as bushy as I would like I see gardenboss an every body else with these bushy four to five footer an im a lil jealous like I feel like im doing some wrong

How many times have you topped these ladies or is it the straight hour of direct sun that making them more bushy

Well, it's a combination of both things, really. The girls get all the sun available on a given day, except the first hour in the morning and the last hour before sunset. They've all been topped many times in multiple locations to maintain a round bush. Basically, this will give you many more bud sites and better production, rather than the huge towering colas that hold water like a sponge, take forever to dry out, and are more prone to mildew.

That was a pretty bad storm. Lots of trees, and power poles down. It's still very windy here, and my power just came back on after being out for 15 hours.
I hope my girls made it.
There is a small bush out by the smoking area where I work, and when I went in to work it had all it's leaves. When I left most of the leaves were gone, and that got me to worry even more. lol

Quick question when is it to late or when should the last topping be for outdoor plants in our area for them to make a full recovery an strong enough to hold decent size buds

Plants don't usually start flowering until the first week in August where I'm at (43 latitude). I'd say you have time for one more topping.

We've had some pretty strong thunderstorms and wind the past few days, but all the ladies seem to be holding up well.
As a precaution I staked all my girls to keep them upright. Still trying to figure out how I'm going to support my branches when they get heavy with buds.

Blackwater,very nice looking plant. What size pot are they in.just use some fishing line.you can connect a whole bunch at one time instead of cutting slot of little pieces

You should be fine to top again. Yours shouldn't go into flower until early August.

Thank you. I have them growing in 15 gallon roots organics fabric pots, but I think they have reached their potential with the root space available. Next year I will go with 45's.
I was thinking of doing what you said with the line and looping it through all the branches, tying them together kinda so that they have support. It's just tricky when there are so many branches

Blackwater I am using 45 and 65 for some we will see if there's a difference from 30 gal plastic grow bags from last year

Nets work great for them when they have lots of branches and if you look enough you cam find them as thin as fishing line@Thomas2681
