Can't wait to get started. I decided on 50 gal brute cans. I have enough soil made up to fill 6 cans 2/3 of the way with a super soil mix I made a few months ago. I'll pick up some extra pro mix and I'll be ready to rock.

It's a good idea. Just about time for me. Figure another $400 for soil and maintenance, not a bad investment for hopefully double digit plants.

What do you guys think about the strains I'll be growing? I have northern lights from Royal queen, and diesel, skunk and ww from female seeds I could swap out with. My seeds for this year I have no xp with. I'm not even sure they will respond well to super cropping and stuff
I'm running a few strains this year. Variety is the spice of life. But I had a lost coast og hit double digits last year, the inspiration for this year's garden.

Just because one might use trellis doesn't mean it has to be scrogged
You support it the same as any plants or hole. You can use post on the outside . I use wire cage around it a trellis netting on top .
Gogi has the capabilities .

I used a smaller sized roll to make grow bags for peppers and tomatoes last year. I have a wider roll I'm going to use for some swamp locations that is too wet to plant in the ground. It's pretty easy to make. Just unroll it, fold it over and sew the two edges together. Then decide how tall you want your bag, and tie it off. I used used haystring, because I have so much of it around the farm.
The one on the left is one of the homemade ones.
I also made a 200 gallon grow pot with old landscape fabric and 2X4" wire. I did dig down a little bit so the dirt could help hold everything in place.
