oven curing?

i preheat my oven on low heat. break up nugs on pan. turn off oven. put pan in. wait til crispy. a little gamey. am i killing potency? good or bad method?

If the oven temp doesn't reach 140 F you are ok. but be warned, your shit is going to taste like green lawn grass and possibly give you a headache and a sore throat. Only do enough to check out your grow. It'll get more potent by proper curing.

i prefer to dry them and then put them in mason jars, moisture will come out of the stems and rehydrate the buds so you have to burp the jars about twice a day for half hour at a time. You can also carefully take them out and put them in a brown bag untill you feel they are dry enough again maybe a couple hours. Then they can go back in the jars, but you want to keep burping them for a week or two and continue the whole time to look very closely inside the buds for mold!! After about 2-4 weeks depending how long you can wait they should be cured enough to have lost the chlorophyl taste. You will be much happier that you cured them and didn't just throw them in the microwave or oven and start smoking it that day! lol good luck and don't be afraid to ask a question

you aren't really curing, you are drying. Curing is more than just drying. A number of things happen in a proper cure. Enzymes continue to break down sugars, fermentation begins. Both things mostly mellow the taste, but I have also seen a lot of evidence from books on the chemistry that conversions of cannabinoids continue and a proper cure can increase potency and/or change the quality of the high. There are other things going on as well, but it's not just about being dry.
