Overcrowded flower room Q

Here is my situation:

I have 3 separate grow spaces:
1) Veg Space - (2 4 ft T8 fluoros): used for young plants, clones, and veggies
2) Veg Cab (switchable 400w MH): used for vegging
3) Flower Closet (switchable 400w HPS): used strictly for flowering

Bag seeds produced more females than I anticipated so now my Flower Closet is overcrowded with 9 plants. I estimate that in 2 -3 weeks, 4 of them will be ready to harvest.

Question: Should I move the plants in the Veg Cab to the Veg Space under T8s, switch it to 400w HPS and divide up the flowering plants?

OR, put another way...

Question: Will plants in mid flower that are in a crowded space, produce better yields if they are moved to an roomier flower space?


GROW SPACE (3' X 6')


VEG CAB (18" X 3') Now has light and has been painted flat white)


FLOWER CLOSET (4.5' X 2') Now has light and ventilation installed)

I've done testing on the T8's.......terrible bulbs for anything. Put a light meter under one to see for yourself.

You'd be better with CFL's or better yet a T5 HO and you'll be a happy camper.

you've got more space to flower and you're not sure if you should be using it to flower? flower, man, flower! i'd be using as much available space to flower as possible and with you being able to rock the two switchable HPS lights, i'd definitely consolidate my veg spaces to just the one and have two flower spots. grow on!

Every Month, or sooner you can harvest a plant.

Friends, I am stuck with the T8's for now. I got a "box set" of equip for cheap.

I just want to know if I will get an overall boost by basically,

1) giving my mid flower plants 2x the space/light
2) moving some promising sisters to a slower veg - will moving them from 400w MH to T8's put them into shock?

yes the less big plants you have in flower the better and more room the plants will have but thats not to say you will yild more

to get a bumper yild you need the right temps soil/hyro method that works for you the right nutes and so on the list is endless
