Overkill ?

Just scored a 3'x3'x84" tent. Only planning to run 2 plants at a time ( that's the plan anyway). Thinking of using a 600 watt light with a 6" fan and filter combo in there. The light would be dimmable and going to put speed controller on the fan. Don't plan on expanding anytime soon. Question is do ya'll think that's overkill for a tent this size? Or would I be better off with a 400 watt light and 4" fan and filter combo and save the money? Thanks all in advance for direction in this.

imo a 600 is ideal for a 3x3 horizontal set up. i did a 600 hps in a 2x4 closet for a while it worked great.

yea provides alot of light to lower budsites from bouncing around less distance, its also the length of the cooltube so it doesnt heat up the cab at all..but yea they yield 2-3 ozs or so each, landrace sativas no veg

I have the same sized room as you with a 600w HPS/w cool tube and a 6 inch hydrofarm exhaust fan and a fan inside the grow room but my temps are still in the lower 90s

yeah qwiz I can see why it gets hot for you being way down south. up here not so much, hell thought I seen snow the other day lol. but i'll be running a 6 inch fan and filter. does anyone know if MTN 6" Inline Hydroponics Duct Tube Exhaust Fan Carbon Filter Kit off of ebay are any good? or how loud they are?

So do u guys think a 600w w/cooltube is ok for a closet this size DSCF0375.jpgand i dont know if u can see it but there is a small panel on at the bottom that leads to the structure of the building(apt) i plan on venting the hot air out that way.

Saw it on youtube.
A guy used hardware cloth, rolled it into a cylinder and wrapped it in carbon sheets from walmart.
I plan to do the same & fill it with carbon as well.
But, since i ordered 25ft of ducting and i only run my lights at night i might jus expel the hot air out of the bedroom window.
