Long time reader , first time posting.

Currently having problems with one of my girls. Last few weeks I've been trying to figure out what the go is though no luck. Some leaves are shiny and feel waxy , some twisted and overall growth is lacking. Thought it was nitrogen but slowly leaning towards overwatering? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Set up
3 bucket RDWC
Ec- 600 ( low after giving them RO water then low nutes to see if that fixed it )
Ph 5.8
Water chiller - temps allways 19/20
Roots look and are fine.

ThanksIMG_20210719_152225.jpgIMG_20210719_152235.jpgIMG_20210719_152229.jpgIMG_20210719_152239.jpg

Last photo is of my other girl who seems to doing absolutely fine.

I am a soil guy. Still your girl looks over watered and too high nute levels. Second plant is approaching max nutes. Also, do you have air flow in that space? Plant is getting pretty dense for the space. Hopefully some bucket growers will follow me in to further assist you. Best wishes.

Hmmmm I'm thinking maybe it is overwatered then. May sound silly but maybe the clay balls are getting too wet constantly from the airstones? I use black plastic over the clay balls to prevent any light getting in. The underneath of the sick girl the plastic is all wet , right is dry. I'll rearrange the airstone so it doesn't quite directly Hit the net pot and keep my fingers crossed.

As for nutrients, I've been running it extremely low pretty much whole grow and even running RO then back to low nutrients for nitrogen toxicity. The light kinda makes them look yellow but they are quite green.

I have tried coco my friend and soil, I just love dwc due not having to water every day and quite simple once you nut out ways around root rot ect.

Cheers guys !

You can not overwater hydro once you have established roots.

Your plant is overfed, you can see the nitrogen clawing. You say EC 600 what does that mean? Next what are your lights? It looks dim for that plant.

Finally all the parameters will help you get the best advice. All the nutrients you use et cetera. Also pictures in normal light.

“Clawing” and color indicates nitrogen toxicity

Poor wording on my behalf. The plant is not getting enough oxygen. Hence drowning. Over watered with the amount being irrelevant. You can't over water so to speak. You can suffocate.

My bad. TY for the correction.

No Mich it is not suffocating. There is plenty of dissolved oxygen. It's overfed.
