Yeah I hope you learned, ohio goes way too easy on dui/ovi offenders it appears according to the bmv's website below. Was a kid in my state who got 25 years cause he killed someone while dui, 3rd offense, no license and he himself ended up paralyzed. There is another doing 5 years for 3rd offense, no injurys or accident and no license.

Here in my state fines are about $2200, tons of bs classes for another $500-$2k depending on how good at lying you are on those evaluations. On top of fee's to get the car back and paying your attorney. Then all the hoops the state will require to get license back after being revoked if they even give it back... This is just for 1st or 2nd offense. 3rd and up and its alot of jail / prison time in most areas... Something to keep in mind is one of the times I got caught for dui, I was completely sober, but cops wanted to fuck with me, I called their bluff on getting a warrant for my piss, and they did alright. Failing a urine test = dui/ovi charge, regardless if intoxicated so be careful and stay safe.

Look here 4th+ offense in ohio is only 60 days minimum - 1 year max jail time. Ohio's D.U.I. Laws

Yes I have, I realized that I could have hurt alot of people for doing something so stupid, my family, my g/f, and someone else family if i would have killed someone or myself. I don't even drink anymore, and I will not ever again. To many problems come with drinking. Also something I found funny was someone was in there for a drug abuse charge, meaning they probably found some MJ in their car ( dude looked like a pot head lol) and all he got was a 150 dollar fine for something that completely illegal but I could have served 3 days in jail for something that I can just buy at a store. Are laws in this country are so fucking wack it not even funny. Now I have no problem getting alcohol, but it's funny when I was younger I could buy pot easier than alcohol or cigs. With alcohol or cigs you gotta find someone that willing to goto jail possibly for giving you the alcohol, but I can just go down the road and goto to dopemans house and buy a sack at anytime of the day...well not early mornings lol.

I once faced a misdemeanor pot charge for possession of one gram. I figured I'd go plead guilty and get a slap on the wrist but after my plea the judge asked the prosecutor what he recommends for sentencing and he replied that I should spend 30 days in the county jail. This was a first and only offense of any criminal charge for me.

I got lucky because the judge suspended my sentence and put me on 2 years unsupervised probation. I could have easily been taken straight to a cell for 30 days in a town 3 hours from my home. I am sure had I a lawyer working on this with me. This stuff would have been worked out in advance and the prosecutor would have been less likely to try to lean so hard on me.

a lawyer would have "done lunch" with the DA and everything would have been dropped. that's how it went for me anyways.
