iv had my big bang for 8 days in my d.i.y bp system and the ph hasnt gone up more then 3 maybe 4 points ova 4 days from 5.8 5.9 to 6.3 6.4.

iv read about how ph levels goin up and down slowly can be good for your plants by locking and unlocking dif nuts at dif ph levels dose anyone have any noleage on this theory ?

so no one has any input on the subject

i think the thing that i read was saying that if you stared with a constant lower ph say 5.5 5.8 at the start of your grow and by the last couple few weeks up to a constant 6.5 6.8 this is meant to better unlock different nuts at different times. not shore if its lower to higher or higher to lower or even if it will make much of a difference

pH naturally drifts up and down. What matters is the range. If the top isn't 7 or higher, and if the bottom isn't below 5.4, I don't worry about it.

yer i dont overly cair about it goin up and down a lil bit just not quickly goin up and down. i guess my real Q. is will keeping your ph below 6.0 to start with and over the hole grow slow letting it get up to just below 7.0 help the plant use the right nuts at the right time better ???

i found that thing i was reading about the ph lockout. it says that N, mg, P are better used by the plant when the ph stays between 5.8 and 6.0 with out goin below or above at all so better veg growth and if you can control your ph very well throut your grow to go from 5.8 to 6.8 7.0 slowly over the hole grow you will notace a difference in the helth and growth of your plants but the main problem i can see is tryin to keep your ph stable throwout your grow could be very very hard

anyone got any thoerys on this or em i alone in this thread

Hey Billy. Hydro PH can swing from 5.5 to 6.2 and be OK. My nute mix (GH FloraNova) drop ph to about 5.6 outta the bottle so i just watch it and only correct if it goes over 6.1.

The best way to keep PH stable in hydroponics is to add H2O2 (35% at 2ml/l of rez water every few days) to keep all the acid-pooing pathogens out of your res. :weed:

i know the ph can and dose swing up and down but iv been reading that if it dose,nt swing but ova the hole grow slowly gets higher it helps the health and growth of your plant

Meh. Sounds fishy to me. I've pulled lots of harvests with a nice stable PH.

thats alot better then what i was looking at but its what i meant but by reading that my theory is just a lil bit off but if you do what i was sayin twice through your grow.

i.e start with 5.5 and slowly by the end of veg up to 6.5 start flower at 6.0 by the end slowly up to 6.8 without goin up and down at all it would inprove yealds
